UT fans don’t want to admit how well things are going for UGA. They signed the best class last year and will be in top 3 or 4 again. Going to suck even worse when they steal a few from us this cycle.
Our only consolation is them losing to the Bama dynasty.
Probably because UGA wasn’t at all prepared for Hurts and he was fresh which certainly matters with a running QB. But given how little Hurts has played this year, the fact it was 4th and 11, and that Bama’s FG kicking is almost always suspect I would generally lean towards making Bama drive the field. With that said, I love it when coaches have big brass ones like Sean Payton doing the onside to start the second half of a Super Bowl. I agree with Kirby (and Pruitt) on what appears to be their philosophy. It’s more about the look you get than the time and score. If you get the right look then fake the punt (or try the onside) regardless of time and score. That's what was beyond me. You see Bama lined up to defend your fake and still do it. That said, I bet if UGA punted that Bama goes downfield and at least kicks the FG to win anyway.
