I have no idea. Made the comment in the Florida-Samford thread in Around the NCAA.
I've seen injuries derail a season. I've seen some kind of horrific event derail a season. Some other things too.
I have never seen a team (and really the whole program as recruiting has become a joke) go from competent to incompetent in a month and half without an obvious smoking gun.
I don't know where the team that played Alabama and Tennessee went, but it's dead and gone.
So is Mullen.
According to an x Auburn head coach(Tuberville) I saw on SEC nation a couple of months ago, he said it was all about recruiting, not much about coaching. He said pretty much coaching at this level is about equal. You don't think TN's record in the last 10 years would be a lot better with UGA or Bama recruits? I like to see Kirby or Saban win a title with our team.Recruiting is a huge part of coaching. So wrong.
Hey man I apologized. I posted without a level head. I had hyped myself into a we might win this thing while I was tailgating yesterday.Losing brings out all the trolls and morons. OP you and Maxim should at least learn something about FB and post with some kind of credibility, even when your posts are at the moron level.
What does it take to realize what the badass ones before you did? What does it take to play for that T on your helmet? Absolutely embarrassing.
Yep, this thread is ridiculous.
Some people expect '98 every year. Or that magical year that was 47 years before that............What does it take to realize what the badass ones before you did? What does it take to play for that T on your helmet? Absolutely embarrassing.
No it took a Hail Mary AFTER we had them beat and a blown coverage that almost cost us the game. And....we have a good defense but for some reason we just can’t get those breaks enough. These running QBs have been the big thorn in our side allllll year. It’s almost sickening to watch these low balls plucked off the turf and caught to keep a drive alive. We just can’t seem to catch the breaks down the stretch. Not kicking field goals while in field goal range and going on forth is STUPID!!! Will not win you momentum in an SEC game against better teams. That turned the game into a onslaught !Yep. I mean there were TN fans saying we would win this game. UGA hasn’t seen a team like us. UGA is overrated. It’s the same thing every year.
Even when we won in 2016, it took a Hail Mary to beat them with a true FR QB and Kirbys rookie season. I mean we don’t have a single person on defense that would be on UGAs second string.
We were on there side of the fifty I think 4 times and couldn’t put it down the field in the end zone till the end. It’s not like we couldn’t move it other than the over throws...int. Fumbled. Wrong decisions or play calls cost us any chance or momentum.Did you really expect to win this game? No one has figured out how to beat this GA team with more talent than us. GA left their starters on the field and we still scored more points than anyone else all season. And fought at the end to do so. It became a battle at the end. GA was trying to keep the streak alive and we were trying to break it. We fought and we won that battle and did what no one else has been able to do. This team has shown more pride this season and has fought to the end of games more than any of our teams for the last 10 years.
We scored more points against the #1 defense in the country. Did you forget we were playing a team that had destroyed every other team they have played and was giving up less than 7 points per game. Did you try a sports book app and lose. Posts like this make it easy to tell the "fans" posting this how lame they are and how much I really enjoy the ignore feature. I just wanted to let you know you are very much in the minority with your opinion. Reply if you want. I couldn't care less about about how you reply, and I will not see it anyway. Why? Played like absolute dog ****.

This is more evidence of what I DON'T appreciate about your comments and attitude toward UT. Mullen got you two 10 win seasons. He won 8 in the Covid season. He's having a terrible year this year for a bunch of reasons... not the least of which IMO is his reluctance to pick a QB and then endure the fans. He lost his locker room.
Yeah. All this and more... but when it was UT tolerating this kind of crap WITHOUT the 10 win seasons... you acted like we shouldn't expect any better.
Frankly, it couldn't happen to a more deserving fanbase... or particular fan. Please keep firing good coaches every time they stumble.
