Mayonaise some funny stuff in this here thread

Tonight, tonight.....

Fettuccini Bolognese.

And a Caesar Salad.

Followed by copious amounts of liquor. It's been a long long day. <sigh>

Not long ago I posted about a menu "test" item. It was a Roasted Vegetable and Goat Cheese Terrine with Sundried Tomato Sauce. I stated I don't care for Goat Cheese, but alot of people do, and at some point I would make one with a different type of cheese. I made another one yesterday but... with Ricotta instead. This is a winner!!!

What meats did you use? If you don't mind me asking.

It sounds fabulous!

It was a "healthy" recipe.

Meat was 93% lean ground sirloin.

1/2 cup finely chopped onions, 1/2 cup carrots, 1/2 cup celery, sauteed until tender. Then 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms. After 5 minutes, added the beef, fresh garlic, and thyme. Another 5, 3 cups diced tomatoes and 1/2 cup beef stock. I thought it was a little loose, so I added some tomato paste. Simmered until thick, 1/4 cup cream... salt... pepper...

and nom nom.

Starbucks Oatmeal. Traveling and in a hurry. Pleasantly surprised at the quality but then again it is just oatmeal.

That's different. I understand why it was "loose". Sounds good though, glad you enjoyed it.

I rarely repeat meals. I'm always trying something different.

Except.....

I took a trip down Tennessee Way in April. Cooked for them. It was so enjoyed, so welcomed, so applauded....

that I became a little upset with my spoiled family.

"They come, they eat, they leave." <---- Bugs Life Quote

They never say, "Good supper, Mom."

So I said, "Heck with cooking." And I went the pre-cooked, pre-packaged, easy stuff. Frozen pot pies. Hot dogs and tater tots. Jarred pasta sauce....

No, not all at one time. <lol>

They still said nothing. Nothing good, nothing bad.

*I* became tired of eating like that so I gave up and went back to cooking fresh and from scratch.

They're going to miss me when I'm gone.

I'll go to the mountains. I'm sick of all of this tropical crap and "the beach" is overrated!

imo

Trunk Bay in the virgin islands is my favorite beach in the world!
