What did you have for dinner II?

Fend for yourself night since wife thought I was serious that pizza and hot dogs for late lunch at Costco was her birthday dinner. Haha, I ask her @ 5:30 if she's ready to go to dinner and she says "What? I'm not hungry, thought you said Costco was dinner." So frozen pizza and chocolate chip cookie cake tonight and birthday dinner tomorrow.

Question: We are looking to get an air fryer. Which one do yall have and why do you like it?
I’ve got a cheap emerald Lagasse one. It works great! I have finally mastered wings in it. Also had an incredible Parmesan crusted pork chop in it as well. If you cook for a lot of people you should probably invest in a bigger one. But they are very healthy and very convenient.

I have an 8-quart Instant Pot Duo, which changes from a pressure cooker to an air fryer by just switching the lids. I love it, but it really makes more sense for those who don’t already have a pressure cooker and/or don’t want to give up counter space.

It’s a cylinder shape, while “normal” air fryers are oblong, like a countertop oven, which in fact they are.

Edit to add: mentioned above why I love this specific one, and in addition. the shape makes it easy to roast a whole chicken - just cram the thing in pointing upright (or upside down.) But if you want to cook something long and flat, like a fish, it’s a challenge.

+1 to getting a bigger rather than smaller one. You’ll probably find yourself using it more and more, including in the hot summer, when you don’t want to heat up your kitchen.

Yeah the heat of the oven in Florida is one of the big reasons why I want one and this old toaster oven is about dead. Thank you for your reply.

The missus meatloaf (proprietary, but I know it has lean ground beef, onions, peppers, eggs, stewed tomatoes, seasoning, a ketchup-based glaze (I got no idea what she adds to it), and a cap of medium cheddar cheese. Served with baked potato and carrots cooked in homemade smoked turkey stock. The fresh baby spinach leaves were a garnish of sorts.
