What did you have for dinner II?

- steak au poivre (thanks to whoever mentioned that last week or whenever!)
- cream sauce with shallots, mushrooms, brandy, thyme and garlic from the steak, Dijon mustard, chicken stock, and cream, duh
- baby bok choy with ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes
- steamed broccoli

The wreckage (the steak was a cheapo bone-in strip steak from Ingles):

Went to a gospel singing over in South Carolina with a few from our church. Afterwards they wanted taco bell! I was like, seriously? During the great toilet paper shortage of 2020, you wanna eat taco bell?😂

I had taco bell😄

For lunch Sunday, left over Mississippi pot roast and Tyler Florence mashed potatoes.

For dinner, steak and gravy over rice. It's a Cajun style steak and gravy. Mother-in-law would labor over a very cheap sliced cut of thin meat for hours. Traditionally, steak and gravy is simmered out in a dark roux. and it was hot. I don't know how to do the roux like she did. So, my version, is thin sliced sirloin cross sliced. Onion, garlic, bell pepper finely chopped. One pack au jus mix. 3 heaping TBS Carey's dry roux mix, to get that flavor. Salt, pepper, red pepper. Rice.
