What Card in Your Wallet?

Call them. They will tell you on the phone. They are very reasonable people. Good luck

They actually just called me! The lady said I was good to go and that they would send the card in the next few days. I know it's not a huge deal, but I'm excited anyway

Like you said, the lady was cool. Easy to talk to, understand, and didn't waste any time getting it taken care of

Congrats my friend. Discover is a great card. Customer service second to no one. I suggested calling because they may have needed to confirm you identity but looks as if they called you instead.

Congrats again.

Discover's customer service is second to none. I opened a checking account thru them as well yesterday

Have an Old Navy Visa and recently got $50 worth of free clothes just for buying gas, food, and cell phone bill. Just got accepted for a Discover It card with cash back. Trying to build up my credit and get free stuff.

Exactly. This is why we run all our house hold bills through the cards. Get the points. I'm going to spend the money anyway.

We have stayed at the Hilton by Neyland several times off of our points

It's a win win.

I've been looking at the Discover It card for students. Looks pretty good to me. Still comparing though

I applied and was denied. So I went with the Capital One Journey card. It's about the same, and I was able to make my card a picture of Neyland.

Was it a instant denial? I would still call them and ask for reconsideration. It could have been as simple as a phone number not matching up

It was weird because they sent me something in mail about it. So when I applied I was surprised to be denied. And they're still sending me mail about it.

I didn't have any credit history, so I doubt it's hard to be accepted. but like OB said, I would call them. They were really cool when I talked to them

** granted, if you don't need/want two cards, then I guess it doesn't matter anymore

Discover isn't an easy card to get.

I have Discover and Capital One Platinum, both are great for rewards but Discover is hands down my favorite. I have some other side cards (best buy rewardzone etc.) for specific purchases.

The wife has an American Express where you pay no interest if you pay off the balance in full each month, which isn't bad.
