His time will come. He needs some time to adjust but the talent is there. Not everyone gets 20 minutes as a freshman.

I'm not necessarily wanting him to take someone's minutes. I just don't understand burning his redshirt when we're not even playing him as a backup PG when we really don't have one.

My guess is CRB knows he will need to contribute next year with all the senior losses, and he is trying to get BJ a little game xp while still realizing that he isn’t quite ready to play meaningful minutes yet. He will be fine.

My guess is that Barnes had hoped early on Edwards would improve enough in practice to earn minutes. That must not have happened. So, now he is in between a rock and a hard place and there is no great answer to how to handle him since he burned his RS the second he stepped on the court.

Yep. Losing Santi, JJJ, Key, potentially JP. Hopefully JP sticks around, having ZZ JP Dillone Jefferson and Edwards in the smaller positions (i don’t know bball positions well) would be nice

That is not true. You can play up to 30% of your team’s games and still redshirt. This will usually equate to roughly 10 games, give or take, depending on how well you do in conference/NCAA tournaments.

That's what I recall hearing in the past. Didn't know if it had changed.
