Not an insider.. but I have read several articles from BT, SDS, amongst other big time sport news enthusiasts that they would not be surprised to see him gone this off season. He has improved in/on hardly anything.

We have a new Chancellor being sworn in here directly.. a new AD coming in...


Plllleeeaaase make some changes for the better in 2017...

When? His 5 win season, his 7 win season, last year or this year? I got him at 0-4 myself. He, at best, equalled expectations in years 1 and 2, he fell short last year with all the blown 4th quarter leads and this year.....well, we know how he's masterfully underachieved on a grand scale this year.

The ones writing those articles don't have to pay a $10 million buyout. We're not Texas, he's going nowhere.

This is probably the most disappointed I've been in the team in my 50+ years as a fan. Very sad to see our once great program reduced to this.

I think the new chancellor likes him though, depends on new AD I guess.

Only chance jones leaves if fans start to think winning is more impotant than tailgating and party. I just don't see it happening. Jones stays. He may fire the janitors but none of his posse.

Sad thing is uk beat 11 louisville i have no doubt we wouldnt have. Theres a problem when u are chasing candy and uk. I honestly cant rember butch beating someone ranked that high

Well see that's the problem, there is a process that has to be done before we can just go out and hire anyone. Our new chancellor isn't even "official" yet and that has to happen before a AD can be hired. Soooooo, ok ya some popcorn and sit back and relax and try to enjoy this show.


That the only advice I've got, if it don't help can't say I didn't try.

They've been posted many times- pre-season Vegas Win Totals, statistical projections, and wins vs expectations based on recruiting and team talent. He has regularly exceeded those over the course of his career, albeit only by a game or so.

I think the "committee" is to advise on coaching searches across athletic programs, not the AD search.

The only way Butch leaves before next season plays out is if he leaves. There is No Chance, None, he will be fired before the 2017 season is played. Any talk otherwise is delusional.
As LWS alluded to many weeks ago, there will be significant staff turnover this off season.
We will have a new AD in place in weeks, so that the transition from Hart to the new AD can begin in early 2017.
There will be a new oversight/advisory athletic committee that will be put in place to assist the new AD in trying to re-elevate ALL Vol athletics to championship levels.
Look for some big vol names to lend a hand. This has been in the works for awhile and is not specifically tied to the football programs struggles to regain national prominence, which we were knocking on the door at this year, but nobody answered it for us!!!

Be patient Vol Fans. We are in much better shape than four years ago. Stay behind the Program and University. It will all work itself out.

Every team in the SEC has at least 3 loses except Bama. Actually Vandy right now is probably the second best team in the East. The real experts understand what happened to Tenn with all its defense scuttled by injuries. The Vols can fix it all with a nice bowl win over someone in the Music City or Liberty bowls.
