What are our insiders hearing?

Chavis fixed LSUs offense and did a great job with the Vols offense.

If Chavis is the best they can do, hell, just dismantle the damn program and put money in women's lacrosse.

Butch and Bob don't get along. Bob thinks Butch is an idiot.

Butch is the same way with his players as he is behind a mic. Speaks in cliques, etc. the older players don't listen to him anymore, kinda make fun of him. This is why our teams personality has changed so much.

I think traditionalists would be really happy with Cut as HC and JBC as OC. Can anyone else say QB development?

Cutcliffe has it made @ Duke. Even after a 4-8 season this year, expectations are manageable. He's not coming here to be the savior of UT football.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I could believe it. Butch seems to use to much football lingo instead of responding to questions. Almost like he's over-compensating. It wouldn't take long for that to wear out on the practice field. If it's true.

I can see Blackburn going with a more traditional head coach. I-formation; strong ground game; pocket passer; a return to "Wide Receiver U". Defense...4-3 or 3-4. Matters not. But a very aggressive approach to defense. Stuff the run. Attack the QB. Press the receivers. And solid special teams.

If I were to guess, I'd say look for a proven SEC (or P5) defensive coordinator with a strong reputation as a recruiter. Played football instead of the flute. Cares more about winning games than press conferences. Understands that catchy phrases and merit badges are no substitute for winning football games. Talks less and delivers more. Respects Saban, and then beats him.

That's what we need. If he's out there, Blackburn will find him.

Go Vols.

It's 100% true. My two years living at a certain fraternity house that backs up right next to the football practice fields are my evidence.

The man just yells cliches and random word salad at players, repeating himself on the mic over and over. Must get old!

Colorado just won the Pac12 south, is 10-2 and ranked in the top ten. And to think they were butt-hurt when we snatched Butch away from them.

CBJ is NOT going anywhere.

Wake up FANz.

Hart and the Hill will keep him. OilMan is happy, he owns the Browns for Goodness Sake.

You have to wake up and VOTE with you feet.
60-70K only in the seats is the ONLY thing to get their attention.

I believe Butch uses football lingo because he really doesn't know football. There's no reason to save Butch because I doubt you will get anybody worth a dam to come coach for one year before Butch is gone. Every new OC will need one year to install their schemes will be the propaganda. Mean while Florida will keep going to the SEC championship from the first year their coach started.

You just described Les Miles.

I have heard that feelers are being put out by a certain group of UT boosters which includes some former players. Actually started last week, so not sure what's up with that. I didn't get that from UT folks, but from someone in another schools AD office.

Agreed. My concern is with CBJ doing just enough to squeak by in 2017 and convince the administration to give him one more year.

He's coming back in 17 unless he leaves on his own. Too many so called 'better' coaches who had worse years. Freeze, Mullin, Kelly.
Hell, Herman, the hot name, lost to 3 unranked opponents.

The good news is UTs problem is obvious. Defense. Butch needs to fix it. It's not as if the teams who recruit against you don't have there own problems. UGA, UF, SC? Seriously?
