Dude you should change your screen name to Debbie_Downer4UT. Why don't you just not post untill we are good again, or untill UT comes to you and asks your opinion on the next hire. Cause everybody knows that they are worried about what you think, because your opinion means so much more than everybody else's due to your obscenely high post count. You are cool, I wanna be like you when I grow up. :neener2:
Won't work. We're really, really good in basketball right now and he still criticizes daily. If we were ranked number 1 in the country in fb and bb he would start criticizing the woman's rowing team. His description of Dooley has Kiffinish qualities to it. He does need a new handle to go with all that negativity.
I don't get it. - From his picture I get a very happy upbeat individual - always a joy to be around. No wait---maybe not so much.
Kippy should have been given the job!It would have excited and united the fan base.Instead we got this guy.MAYBE this works out,but MH passed on a stand up guy with tons of coaching experience and TN ties.I would call that a BAD decision.
Dooley is a downgrade from what we had here right before him, and I'm not even talking about Kiffin. Kippy Brown wasn't going to turn us down...
Also, I can't believe the "Big Money Boosters" signed off on this hire...
Kippy essentially did turn us down. Dooley wanted to keep him on staff and Kippy didn't even hang around long enough to meet Dooley. Kippy was treated poorly by Hamilton but he was not as attractive a candidate as Dooley or 3 or 4 others.
Kippy great guy and great assistant coach --- there is a reason he has not already been a head coach at a major university. He isn't the total package. Could he have been interim for a year --- yes.
I think that Dooley is going to surprise a ton of you Hat clones.
I'm not anti-Kippy. I loves me some Kippy. The point is, it's all over but the cryin, and GOD help me, I'm gettin sick and tired of all of you guy's cryin. Shoulda, woulda, coulda... No matter who we hired, somebody would get mad, take their toys, and go home. Cause him wouldn't wonna play anymore...Poor fellas...:birgits_giggle::thumbsup:
To be fair, all the names we were hearing sounded absolutely terrible. I don't want Muschamp hear at all, but he seemed like the top name we were going after. It's sickening. I'd rather hold out longer and take a chance with Bob Stoops, even if he says no. Throw in more money if it would change his mind. I'm also surprised Gruden would be so unreceptive, seeing as he isn't coaching. Is there no amount of money he would have accepted? Then we interviewed a group of candidates unfit for the Lenoir Rhyne job.
