So what? several NJC and FCS games from the past are too, but this is not an actual 1-A bowl game

Maybe. But that honestly doesn't even bother me. It was an intense game with crazy officiating. Tensions were high, and Memphis knew they were about to lose. I think the double tech was warranted on both ends, and that should have been the end of it. And it would have been had Penny not run his mouth with nonsense afterwards.

The Pasadena Bowl was a junior college bowl for most of its existence, but 1971 was the last of the three years that the bowl was a legitimate NCAA 1-A bowl game.

I'm not sure how much slower I need to type to get you to understand. Now go ahead and repeat for the 3rd time something we've both already acknowledged.

It was never considered a major bowl. It was not recognized as one.

We gain nothing from playing Memphis every year.

All Penny will do is teach his young players to flop around and run their mouths.

Not to mention his dirty tactics in recruiting, will eventually catch up to him in the long run.

Barnes is a very well respected coach and never acts like a little kid every time he loses a ball game to a rival.

The NCAA will set up an office at Tiger High and i think Penny will wind up being as crooked at Dana Kirk as far as recruiting goes.
