You were saying that "life isn't fair" because the government is taking too much from the poor guy because he supposedly works more years. You apparently aren't aware that a lot of business owners probably work 60-70 hours a week. I guarantee that I worked more hours in my 43 years than most people do in 55 or 60 years, and I paid both halves of my SS and Medicare. At least I'm not the douche who says "life isn't fair" when the sheriff of nottingham takes from the poor and gives to the well-to-do.
How do you connect our debt to the FF?
Creation of Fed Reserve?

Sorry I missed this before.
He was talking about our system of government and saying they "did it right" but our system of government is very imperfect. Representative government invariably results in lobbying which results in the concentration of benefits and diffusion of cost, which eventually became $19T in debt.
I give a sh!t about what I did. Money is taken from people's checks to fund SS. It is as fair as anything else.Don't put quotes around a phrase I did not say and didn't imply.
I'm saying social security is not fair. Life will never be fair, but I think government should strive to have fair policies. Do you disagree?
Nobody gives a **** about what you did. It's not all about you. I could share my personal anecdotes, but it won't change what is generally true. We're talking about Americans in general terms. Of course individual cases will vary.

Your point is that poor people's money goes to rich people's retirement. Rich people's money goes to poor people every single day, not just in retirement.
Just reach in your pocket and give some money to the next trucker you come across then. That should help even it out. It's not rich and poor. It's blue collar and white collar. I assume a truck driver didn't take any money from me, but I'm probably going to outlive him and get more back from SS than he does.

You probably have studied this more than I...are Representative Republics common in history? Or even currently?
It's a relatively new thing. Ours is one of the oldest and biggest representative government nations (in terms of population and $), so that's part of why our debt is particularly high. Most of the countries that rank higher on the economic freedom index than us have similar governance problems to us, but it's typically harder for government to get out of control with spending when your GDP is only $180B (New Zealand).
I've been cleaning an apartment for days after evicting a couple. They were undoubtedly 2 of the nastiest living m'fers that I ever had for tenants. I am still working on the stove. I have the bathroom pretty much in order, and most of the kitchen.
