We got the right coach

Wow great fan buddy, I'm so thankful most fans aren't like you. I will tell you not that it'll matter or that I'm bragging but I played at UT under coach Fulmer (I'll add) so I'm around more than the common fan so I've seen with my own eyes what's going on but you say I'm making excuses so you know more apparently

You must be a government employee.

There is one important fact that i dont think anyone can argue with. The players with the most talent, the most motivation, the ones who hit the hardest and leave the most on the field are the ones that Pruitt has brought in. maybe they dont pan out and maybe Pruitt isn't the guy, but the very fact that it is his recruits are the ones performing right now means that he has at least earned the rest of this season. Then lets see what kind of class he hauls in from his second full cycle and then discuss where we are.

Did you seriously just call him a "beta" then turn around and say we're not competing with "uga, florida, bama, or lsu" and to accept it? Sounds like you're pretty beta yourself there.

You make no sense.

We're not going to start beating up on uga and bama year 2 after the last 10yrs of shiite. Why is it hard to understand that? Do we want too? Will/should they work their butts off to do so? Absolutely. Should people EXPECT TN to out recruit Bama and UGA top to bottom? To ouplay them when their 3rd stringers are redshirted 5* studs? No. TN is devoid of talent and depth. We have been losing to vandy, mizzou, and scar annually. Get realistic and understand that the first step for TN is becoming competitive again in general. Beat the teams we are supposed to beat, on the trail and on the field. Develop those guys, get better, go after the better teams. We are the worst program in the sec, a losing record the past 10yrs. We're not going to from last to 1st in 1yr.

It's not overnight. Regardless if it's Pruitt or someone else.

There are a tremendous amount of trolls on this board because I refuse to believe that human beings in 2019 can truly be as stupid as some of the people on this board act. That's just a general statement.

I didn't affirm anything. No dang coach is coming here when you fire a cosch after 2yrs. Not happening. He gets next year minimum. Everyone needs to accept it.
Realistically, let's say he goes 2-10 or 1-11 this year. You think he deserves year three? Id rather fire him at that point and name and interim for a year than have him continue. Everything happening around the program with him as the coach is not good. If he can get to 4 wins I'm fine with him getting another year but you can't want a coach here who has less than that. We out talent half the teams we play against if not more. We need to pony up the cash and hire a BIG name coach. If we did that the first time we wouldn't be in this mess.

Third quarter held them to three points. Three.

Mismanagement of the offense by Chaney had us down by twelve at half. Should’ve been 20-17.

90% of football fans don’t have a clue what you’re talking about but you’re correct. To have any chance to win a game vs a superior team you have to limit their possessions. The last Ga TD in first half is on Chaney.

We're improving every week. Maybe you can't see that. Or you expected these freshmen and sophmores to compete with an NFL roster that runs 4 deep across the board. Did we not lead for the majority of thre first half? I dunno about you, but I expect to see mistakes and guys getting beat this year at this level. We have no depth, we have no experience. But we managed to put some doubt in the minds of the #3 team and their fans for the 1st half. Their fans gave us props, but our own fans can't see chit

How many teams have we played this year have “NFL Rosters”?

I damn sure expect us to be in the top 10 every year. Have you ever looked at our recruiting budget?

I agree with you long term but hard sell the last few years. TN brand isn't what it was but a top 15 class is expected. Issues is we have had those for 10yrs and we still lose. I am more concerned about proper evaluations. Making sure we have legit sec talent and then getting then properly conditioned and physically developed.

My minimum expectation at this point, for this staff, is to have good evaluations and develop these guys physically. If they don't work out at least we can have a reasonable SEC roster for the next regime. Hopefully it comes together but if they can at least do that then they have left TN in a better place than the last 2 regimes.

Neither do you, throwing around the "beta" insult makes me think you really don't even understand what it means.

Pruitt recruited JJ?

You're either dense or more likely just a paid liar. North Carolina won two games last year, and three the year before that, meaning they were down further than we were at the beginning of this season. They have a first-year head coach: I know you can't grasp this, but that means he has had one less year on the job to recruit those super-5-star recruits that according to you no one can win a game without, than Pruitt has.

And they came within one point of beating the reigning national champions, which are every bit as talented as those teams you say we can't compete with for years.

But still understaffed and inexperienced.

But you thought the thin D would pick up the slack against maybe the best o line in the country?

Dude if it was this one blow out I’d feel completely different. It’s the fact that he loses to teams with lesser talent and gets blown out by teams with lesser to equal talent that is the problem.

Clemson isn’t near as physical as Ga. if Clemson plays Ga, they better hope Lawrence has a career game and Fromm doesn’t.

None of that is relevant to tonight.

You can only judge tonight on tonight.

Obvious the team has not quit on him.

Well I will say we're playing a bunch of freshman which are his guys and they are the better players on the team unfortunately there's not enough of them, I'm curious to see how it goes with another recruiting class. If next year is kind of the same there'll be a problem

Agree. Wondering about the WR, QB, LB and DL for next season...he is gonna have to play a bunch of young players again next year at those spots...next year could be rough as well.

Going forward Pruitt has one guaranteed loss in playing BAMA. Every other game is plausible that we win (obviously not that we will). With how the year is going, I see one win against UAB and that is being optimistic and I dont know how they are doing this year though I know they won 11 games last year. If our offense can play somewhat competently we have a chance at more. Pruitt's defense is awful though which is what concerns me about his coaching. Our D consistently looks lost pre snap.

You're great at ad hominem, not so great at logical argument or making any sort of sense.

As for my intelligence, I have a lot of objective proof of mine, including a degree from an Ivy League university, and exceptional results at everything I have ever done for a career. But I have no doubt you're shift leader at your factory.

Comical again. It's always the sign of the biggest beta when they try to spout degrees and financial successes as their argument against... insert every argument here.

Since you want to know, I have a degree in finance and could retire within the next 12 months, if desired, at the ripe age of 34yrs young.

Congrats on your degree and success though. Wish you the best with your job.
