Watch,, it!! Health, exercise etc.

Mine is set on Largest. Lol.
I'm thankful stuff comes big enough for me to read. Lol

The one concern I have, is that it reduces brightness when the lighting is dimmer. I still need the contrast. Not sure how big of an issue it'll be. It was $150 less than the venu 3s.

Should have a setting to turn that off and set it to the brightness you want it to stay.
Check settings >display
Or see if it's set for AOD (always on display.

I wish it was a tad smaller, but so far it's everything I wanted.

Also, after reading your conversations about sleep, I decided to try it. I thought it would bother me, but it really doesn't. 1000016156.jpg

Yeah that one only offers the one size, but 42 is a good size and the Venu 3 smallest is only 1 mm smaller. If it's not too heavy you'll probably be glad it's the size it is. Any smaller and the battery gets smaller.

When you say you thought it would bother you, you mean by sleeping with it on? It's now a requirement for me. Lol. Glad it doesn't bother me.

It's the lightest weight of the 3 (this one and the 3 and 3S.) Crazy.

Yeah, I thought for sure I would notice it all night, and I absolutely don't. That's also crazy to me. Hubby has worn his the last two nights and it didn't bother him either. One thing, on previous watches, the battery life wasn't great and it had to be on the charger over night. This one is supposed to have a 10 or 11 day life I think.

I know my sleep is terrible. I don't really know what to do about it though. But I'm sure I'd feel a lot better if I slept better.

Was reading about this watch and it says it may be getting stronger vibration like the ultra. That's the last complaint I have about Garmin. Garmin getting remiders was huge for me, but vibration is like non existent compared to the Samsung.

Bill and I have had this discussion before but it seems it's not just me. Im thinking maybe because my skin is thicker pun intended, or maybe not thicker but tougher because of sun exposure?

Whatever, when I put both on the Samsung is literally like 5 times stronger. It also allows you to decrease the vibration and select different types. Some of them are 4-5 seconds long. I often miss alerts on the Garmin because I don't feel the vibration. Hell if it was more than a nanosecond long that might solve the problem.

Samsung has better band options too. And the trade in program is awesome. I believe I'd forget all about the vibration and errthanges if Garmin would adopt a trade in program equal to Samsung.

To those that have Garmin have you tried Connect plus?

I haven't. They haven't added anything important to me ....yet. I noticed some challenges I'd love to be able to join but that's it. Not worth $7 a month. I also don't like the idea of all the extra info that I don't need being on a website and not in the phone app.

you going to make the upgrade? I have a second cracked screen so I'm weighing my options. $120 for a 965 replacement or the new 970. I'm leaning replacement
I bought a Fenix 8 last year when it came out.

The 970 has some new features that the 965, 955 and Fenix will more than likely get a month after its release. Only 2 things the 955 and 965 wont get is obviously the flashlight and they wint get ECG because of the sensor. Other than that the only difference is the sapphire lens, which is something you might want to consider. Lol.

The only issues I have with mine is I wish it was lighter and thinner. I considered selling it and getting the 970, but the difference is only .9 mm in thickness and 6 grams in weight. Afraid that ain't enough.

With my favorite band and the case it weighs 102 grams. Thats heavy. So now I use the band it came with and no case. That brings it down to 73 grams.
