Watch,, it!! Health, exercise etc.

HBPW hasn't had an issue. Hmmm
Seems they're doing so much updating especially updating older models with newer models functions that they're tripping over their slongs.

I've had no issues at all since I withdrew from the Beta program. I read they just released a huge update a week or so ago, this could have something to do with that. Idk. Just be glad it hasn't affected her.

I've had a Garmin watch for 2 years and 4 months. Today I received a Sleep Streak Badge for the 5th time, in 28 months. That's sad.

A sleep score of 75 or higher for 7 consecutive days earns this Badge.

I've joined 6 new challenges for February.

Still need 16 points to reach level 4.

Notably, at multiple points in the comprehensive report, experts mention the role and impact of wearable devices in alleviating the burden of cardiovascular health (CVH) and related deaths. For example, as part of the AHA’s updated Metrics for Measurement and Quantitative Assessment of CVH, doctors suggest using sleep data provided by wearable devices.

A majority of smartwatches — and even smart rings out there — can provide a detailed breakdown of an individual’s sleep habits.

“A good thing about this approach is that all the data is recorded and you can directly share it with your treating physician or consulting doctor. It saves crucial time and opens record-keeping avenues for future reuse,” he adds, citing his own experience with using a mass-market ECG device to keep an eye on his mother’s heart health.

No, I won't.

It didn't affect me and stuff like that happens with software. I've never had a problem with Garmin so bad it made me want to switch to another brand. Having problems with others lead me to switching to Garmin. I'm still 100% comfortable with Garmin accuracy, and that peace of mind for me is worth any future issues. That's not saying Garmin is perfect.

Hope none of you had any issues.

VO2 max is a measure of the maximum amount of oxygen your body can utilize during intense exercise. It's an essential component of peak aerobic fitness and optimal metabolic health.1

If you don't have access to VO2 max testing, you can also perform the Cooper test, which approximates your VO2 max. The Cooper test involves running around a track for as many laps as possible in 12 minutes.

You'll record the distance you ran (in miles) and plug it into this formula: VO2max = (35.97 x miles) - 11.29.2

If you ran 1.5 miles in 12 minutes, the equation would look like this: (35.97 x 1.5) - 11.29. Your VO2 max would be about 42.7.

Couldn't get it all in one shot...

@82_VOL_83 still liking yours?
@malinoisvol HBPW liking hers?

Going on 3 years with Garmin and I'm more and more impressed daily with the accuracy, direction they're going and their capabilities (smartwatches in general).
She hasn't taken it off (the watch) since I gave it to her. She hasn't had any complaints and, trust me, if she did, I would have heard about it. Lol

Battery life on hers is way better than mine. Mine needs to be charged about once a week.

I’m sick with some stomach bug. So last night it only recorded me sleeping from 9:30-3:30 before I woke up to spend the next 5 hours in the bathroom. Watch said it was decent sleep, just shorter than ideal. Then I “napped” uncomfortably from 9-12. Recorded that as poor sleep, not a nap. So now it’s recommending nine hours of sleep. Not sure if I broke the sleep patterns or it just knows I’m sick.

HRV and Stress are good indicators for illness for me. My HRV dropped 2 points last week over night and I started feeling sick that afternoon.

Before getting sick I was on a 16 straight day streak of 75 and above sleep score with a 93 high. Best I've done since keeping up with it. I have now earned the badge 8 times..in approximately 3 years.

I’ve only earned it 8 times myself in even longer than that (or however long it’s been a thing). I know I fell off once last week because I forgot to take my work watch off and put the 965 back on. The 55 doesn’t measure sleep

The one smart watch function that I missed the most switching from Samsung to Garmin was Reminders. Now Garmin has added an app in IQ called Comingup that is a giant step towards filling that void. In fact, it my turn out to be just fine.

It's available to the 955, 965 and Venu 3. FYI.
