Watch,, it!! Health, exercise etc.

Neh it's not for Christmas, she doesn't know anything about it, you're not gonna hold on to it for a month and I'm not being too nosey.

Good talk.
All the above lol

Holding on to it for 1 month and 5 days as a Birthday present. I haven't opened it. I'm too tech challenged to even know what I'm looking at.

No one's ever too nosey. Some are too loose with the answers tho. Me sometimes.

No need for you to open it. As soon as you turn it on you'll have to have her phone to set it up.

She gone dig it.

There's a walkie-talkie with the watch? I might have to get me one now.

@Behr As soon as she seen the "Garman Venue 3", she was excited about it. Charging now. She's gotta download the app and get it setup.

Just my opinion but having connectivity to my watch would be cool but that's it, just cool. I never go anywhere without my phone so it would be a waste for me.

If I were to do it to be even close to worth it I'd get a Samsung or Apple. Pretty much useless on a Garmin.

"Several major smartwatch and fitness tracker makers, including Apple, Huawei, Samsung, and Google, offer fluoroelastomer bands in the name of durability. While the full extent of the potential health risks posed by forever chemicals in these bands remains unclear, researchers from the study have urged the scientific community to further investigate these materials.

In the meantime, the experts recommend users switch to watch bands made from alternative materials that do not contain fluoroelastomers. Most brands that sell watch bands made of fluoroelastomer mention so on their websites. That way, users can easily check the make and materials of watch bands before purchasing them. The main issue is that fluoroelastomer bands are specifically designed for resistance to water and sweat, making them essential for wearers who prioritize these features in a watch band."

@malinoisvol I'm Just thinking out loud here.

I have an excel sheet I fill out every morning, its like a habit from filling out a DSR (daily sales report) in the restaurants for 30 years. It's very helpful for me. (I'm not suggesting your wife go to that extreme.)

Looking at it this morning and comparing it with the same time last year I thought I'd just mention something to you. I don't know how serious your wife wants to get, but I'd suggest that she research VO2Max and HRV. She can start with the Garmin app and they have links to more info.

Also maybe write down her VO2max and HRV now just in case she ever wonders where they were when she started. Wish I'd done that.

I shall. She's been watching everything on there. Pretty interesting gadget. The spread sheet is a good idea or, as you said, writing them down for comparison with future numbers.

If she hasn't already figured it out, one of my favorite tools is...well I don't know what you call it, but I'll tell you about it. Lol.
On most screen on the app like the sleep graph. Touch the screen with your figure and hold it still until that info square pops up. Then move your finger left and right. That comes in very handy.

**Not one of the first 5 in my opinion. Otherwise a good list.

Customize the data on your main watch screen

Customize your glances

Customize your activity fields

**Set up a Garmin Coach plan to see a week’s worth of suggested workouts

Change your step goal

If you notice a rash specifically where the watch dial sits, it's likely due to sweat buildup or soap residue from handwashing. The best solution is to clean both the watch and your wrist regularly, especially after exercise.
