May not matter. If you remember back just about 4 years ago, we had a series of inexplicable collisions occurring with the Pacific Fleet in the waters over in that area. I'm not so sure that those incidents weren't some kind of disruptive navigational weapons that China and/or Russia has. I include Russia because a similar incident happened in the Black Sea also with a US vessel.
