War in Ukraine

Do we have any kind of policy with Mr Potato head in charge?
The national security apparatus that has been around since 1945 sets the policy, not the President (whether the President is a warm body or not). IMO, relative to this Russia/Ukraine situation and with foreign affairs generally, Biden is doing whatever Blinken suggests he do.

To be fair, Biden undoubtedly has his own views from his extensive time in office.

That’s NOT to say all those views are correct.

I think he does have his own views, but at this stage in his career I see him being extremely deferential to advisors, especially on the details. Especially advisors like Blinken who have been around him for a long time and are very familiar with his thinking.

Yeah, this is probably correct.

The leading experts in the world have said grand poobah was in league with russia (including his OWN PEOPLE), and that Biden is doing the best anyone can... unless you want to melt everything to glass. I do not. Putin does not, he much prefers poison.

I largely approve of his handling of the Ukraine situation.
That could change, but I think he has handled this well. I don’t think there was any deterrent here. Biden has said he would defend Taiwan.
Well, you seem to be the only one.

The only piece of this the administration has handled well is not sending troops, yet. Outside of that he's looked like bumbling idiot.

What was the dangerous precedent?

When you wrote "Uh, no ****ing way," I assumed that you had read the essay to which you were objecting so vehemently. If you haven't read it, I recommend you do so -- you'll find your question concisely answered in it. If you've read it and don't understand it, I'll be happy to interpret it for you. If you're not interested in reading it, that's certainly your prerogative, but, in that case, you should state plainly that you're simply reacting to the essay's title without any meaningful knowledge of its contents.

what would you suggest HOG? because I know what I would do, and what we want to do. I want to take him out like laden, and the Taliban and other terrorists: is that what you want?

Well thank God, secretary Blinken is on the news and touting their "hold" on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline that Biden started back on his first F'n day in office. I feel so much safer now that the frat boy has spoken.

I have no issue saying I’m not reading an essay comparing the invasion of Ukraine to the intervention in Kosovo.

Don't be dependant on oil in the first place, but we have oil. The only thing raising oil is the day bros. we have oil on reserve and as much oil rights (in fact more) than russia.

I just hope they think far enough ahead to have some option to replace him. That's ON RUSSIA. The Russian people will elect what comes next. It's on the Russian people to have a replacement, not America, or NATO.
