Yeah, a man that is a lawyer, coached in the NFL, coaches the university of Tennessee, played football at Virginia, has coached at LSU and La Tech, has made more money than we will ever see in our lifetime, and has a college degree. Yeah that really sounds like a pathetic loser to me.
Kiffin's timing on leaving the program and a depleted roster had a lot to do with that I am sure. However I do think some fans are delusional on who and how fast we can hire a replacement.Yet, UT did know these things when they hired Dooley. You know what stat you are not putting in there? No one else wanted the job. I don't know why people can't understand that. We took the best coach that would take the job. Tradition be damned. That is the state of UT football three years ago. Who knows if he is the right guy for the job. He's our coach now.
Hard to do when the results are the same....every single week.
This was the first time Bray had ever been in a potential game winning drive scenario, and he failed to execute 3 times. I guess that's Dooley's fault.
Like it or not, but this was a necessary step in growth.
In 5 games, they've gone from losing to Kentucky to almost beating #5.
You really expect these players to have the killer instinct when they haven't even been in this situation before?
Same old negas, posting the same old stuff ... Get these facts to Hart quick so we can hire Saban
Yay. Moral victories. This was the first time Bray had ever been in a potential game winning drive scenario, and he failed to execute 3 times. I guess that's Dooley's fault.

We should just fire everyone and hire all our new coaches from volnation. I mean you are a crappy coach if you can't take a team of freshmen, walk-ons, and terrible upper class-men and win titles. If you take two top ten teams to the brink and still lose you also suck. So yeah lets fire everyone, lose a recruiting class and see all of our best players stupidly go pro, other players transfer, the university owe Dooley and Co. millions while losing even more games next year. Then we can do it all over again. Things like this make me ASHAMED to be a UT fan and student.
Was it any if at all worse or better than the Bama roster that Saban took over?
Defending the following.
14-16 Record-A quarter into his third year, with the best win being over Cincinnati.
4-14 Record-In the SEC, best win is over a 6 win Vanderbilt team.
0-19-Career record against ranked opponets.
36-15-Average margin of defeat against ranked opponets.
6-Number of 30+ point losses while at UT. 5 from SEC opponets.
1-8-Road record in the SEC, lone win was against Vanderbilt.
26-The streak that ended against UK last year in what has to be the lowest of all lows.
If UT were looking to hire a new head coach and one of the candidates career numbers looked like this, would he be someone you would consider worthy for the position?

I do not understand why som fans think all a sudden Dooley is going to become this great coach. He is not a winner and his resume shows that. Our recruiting is middle of the pack SEC at best. The man will not outcoach ANYONE. He can not beat Bama/UF/UGA for the top recruits, so are we just supposed to accept losing because he can't pull the top talent? "They have better players." Yes, and they always will until we have a coach who can fire up the fanbase, recruiting, and prove he can go toe to toe with the rest of the SEC. "We should be happy we kept it close" is something UT fans should never have to say or accept. JMO
If we fire Dooley, the world implodes. Who knew?
