enjoyed this tonight. probably will tune in again next week. the hospital scene was great. i was afraid they were going to rip that off of 28 days later too much, but it was really well done.

it was a recreation of the comic book scene, which predates 28 Days Later by 2 years.

solid start to the series. Not sure I care about the inevitable love triangle.

I wonder who was in the helicopter?

Watched it again, and it's still great. It really sucks there is only 6 episodes in this first season.

I watched it last night. Two things I didn't care for...
1) they don't run. I like it much better when they can run, and run fast.
2) the scene where he tracks down the torso and say's he's sorry for that happening to it. Come one please!!!
The rest of it was good enough for me to turn back in next week see what happens with his partner and his wife. hehe drama in zombie land.

If enough of us watch it, they'll keep making them.

I imagine the production costs are pretty damn high, though.

1. It's classic zombie vs. new "fast" zombie. It's just different flavors. I expect you will start seeing fictions that have "both" more and more, though, with video games carrying a tradition of having multiple types of undead.

2. That was his neighbor who he knew quite well. The show didn't really make that obvious, but the comic book did.

I thought the scene where Rick said, "I'm sorry this happened to you" was a touching moment.

Did it bother anyone else that he kept getting right up in their faces to shoot them? I mean, I wouldn't want even a chance of that blood splattering on me.

I've thought that with every zombie move. People take way too many chances with splatter.

He bothers to wear a plastic face shield when he hits that one with a baseball bat when leaving the secured house with the father and son he met, but not when he is pulling the trigger point-blank on a bunch of zombies.

And believe me, if an infection is spread through something as simple as a scratch (which was said in the show) then exposure to your eyes would more than be enough.

I did like the part where he crawled under the tank, and was about to kill himself when he saw that hatch open for his escape. BTW any tankers (DAT's) out there? Do they have a hatch there?

I was disappointed. A little boring and less action than I expected. A lot of it seemed similar to Dawn Of The Dead. Hopefully it will pick up a bit as the season goes on.

I read you can only get the infection through death or being bitten.

It's a drama. If you are expecting zombieland, you'll be disappointed.

I think the escape hatch was a feature of WWII era tanks. I don't remember the M1A1 having such a hatch.
