I've got no info on the VP deal unfortunately. I talk to ex-players and current coaches a lot, but all I've heard is that it won't be over with until charges are officially dropped and VP is reinstated onto the team and into school. Also not sure how missing class will affect his eligibility.

I'll defer to GFW or maybe RPP knows something.

I thought I'd read many times that he was still enrolled in school, and going to class.

True. I am speaking of malicious and intentional false accusations or irrational overreactions.

By that last comment, I would mean something on the order of someone claiming sexual harassment because they got mooned and were embarrassed.

Just because someone with a victim mentality wants to make someone "pay" for hurting their feelings... doesn't make legal action legit.

I say this without knowing the details of this case. When I was paying more attention earlier, it seemed that Von had shown her his "wares" but had not touched or attempted to force her.

Again, the clutter in this thread became so burdensome that I gave up trying to keep up with anything other than whether he was likely to come back or not.

there have been no charges.

There's rumblings of some new information for the DA that might help end the investigation and close the case. I don't know if it will or not. The DA has been on vacation this week and maybe last so there are some that think when the DA sees the information the case might get dropped. I would be surprised if anything is done Monday. And it also depends on what the DA sees in the information and if it affects their thinking on the case.

I think from Von's camp there is more positive feelings that it's going to get dropped, but I don't think anyone knows anything for sure and who knows when the DA's office looks at it next week to review it.

seems like everyone involved in the investigation has been on vacation for a while now. Ridiculous.

I guess I meant the "claims". The "victim" either has to come forward and say she no longer believes she was raped/assaulted or the DA has to find inconclusive evidence and refuse to file charges.

Either way, until one of those occurs, anyone who says they know what's going on really doesn't. Like Hubbs said.

To me this reads as:

"There's no way Von is going to get charged. This will be dropped very soon but probably not Monday."

Pretty promising stuff coming from Hubbs. My guess is Von misses maybe a practice or two before this gets dropped. That looks slightly less suspicious than reinstating him right before fall camp begins.

LSU players reinstated, Laremy Tunsil charges dropped, etc etc yet all these UT incidents drag on and on and on and on, it's a bit ridiculous.

Lol I snoop on a friends account sometimes on VQ and that board is so unorganized. Freak does so much better with VN. 100 different threads will be created about the exact same thing and each will have one or two replies. It kills me

The actual message board element of VQ is garbage. There are about 25 people who create 90% of the posts, and at least half of them have a gimmick where they constantly troll or just try to rile people up.
