Baron put in his time here, I don't begrudge him but some of the other athletes who are transferring after barely stepping foot on campus because they weren't starting is another story but I get it I guess

Baron is wanting the bag. We have quality depth at edge. Not worried. Sucks but not worried.

Tennessee is extremely active in the portal. I don’t have the multiple connections I used to have but was told that we are extremely aggressive in the portal and CJH is upgrading the roster all over. Look for an extremely young but super athletic secondary.

Was told that we are covering receivers that are physical like Tillman and Bru, obviously TE and a DL starter like ONL.

I’m hoping we bring in a stud guard and our Oline should be solid.

Was surprised Baron didn’t show up on the latest draft list. Probably explains why he’s out shopping for the biggest bag ?

Heard Watson Brown on the Basilio show talking about how TN isn't going for the big bang spend all your NIL on 1 portal guy but looking to hit multiple good players from smaller schools/conferences that would add needed depth across multiple positions. Interesting philosophy that has worked well in the NFL for a long time if true. That also could be a reason for not fighting to hang onto Baron since you have good depth and can spend that money to shore up other areas.

So in secondary between graduation and portal, we have lost 10? We have 4 freshmen coming in. So we need like 4-6 from the portal and maybe another freshman commit? That's a lot of work. I get the feeling there are gonna be some position changes in the cards.

There will be a wholesale raid of UF players next year. I guarantee that. Unless Napier has a huge improvement, he is gone. With their schedule, I see him as fired before rhyrrr season ends. I’m hoping our staff has kept tabs and good relations with some of these players.

Sorry, got no breaking news ... but I have added a few minor updates .. personally, I like leaving the 'misses and defections' in view and where they went ... your thoughts?
Finally, I personally think we are in good company ... AL and GA and TN all have 0 commits, because our focus is on the bigger picture. We are not doing 'plug and play like some of the other teams.' The coaches will have a much clearer picture on Saturday morning ... then we will start to see some results trickle in.
Patience is a work in progress ...

We are apparently not willing to dole out the cash to get the best free agents on the market and are going to rely on farm teams to develop our future players.
