AU has been crying for the last two years for the SEC to change their schedule and not have to play both Georgia and Alabama in November claiming it wasn’t fair. Well, they got their wish, starting in 2020, AU will replace Tennessee on on Georgia’s schedule and Tennessee will now play Georgia in November instead of September/October.

Maybe we can get Kentucky moved to fill georgia’s spot now in late September or early October.

So who does UGA switch with on our schedule?

A couple of months ago, someone posted here a 'leaked' Mizzou schedule that showed them playing us in September.

That fits this new revelation perfectly.

So now we're going to have Florida, Mizzou and OOC-Power 5 opponent in September ... Bama, South Carolina and rotating SEC-W opponent in October ... Georgia, Kentucky and Vandy in November. With a couple of cupcakes springled in at the front and back.

That sounds great to me.

Like I said in the RF, we'll play UGA 2 weeks after Bama instead of 2 weeks before.
Only interesting because apparently the SEC agreed with Auburn that it was unfair for THEM to play both teams in under a month. 🤔🙄

Agreed, I'm glad Auburn threw a tantrum. Seems like our schedule has been front loaded as long as I've been a Vol fan. It will be cool to have a big rival game in November when we get back on our feet. Especially if we get back to where we should be in the order of things. Top ten-twenty matchup with UGA every November? Yes please.

I would’ve preferred to move Florida to the back end of the schedule but this works too. I think it will help even out our schedule.

That's not exactly true. The complaint wasn't that they faced both opponents in a three week span, it was that they played them both either at home or on the road each year, meaning that in the odd years, they play zero SEC home games the last month of the season. It's a great advantage in the even years, but a huge negative in the odd years. So the request was more about moving the schedule to avoid the frontload/backload of SEC home games depending on the year.

Has this been made public?
