That’s the fault of the SEC and AU agreed to it. AU played UGA at home in back to back years in 2012/2013 to make the schedule work bringing in Missouri and A&M. Easy solution to AU’s problem is to play at UGA for consecutive years and their problem is solved. Do you think they have offered to do that? That's not exactly true. The complaint wasn't that they faced both opponents in a three week span, it was that they played them both either at home or on the road each year, meaning that in the odd years, they play zero SEC home games the last month of the season. It's a great advantage in the even years, but a huge negative in the odd years. So the request was more about moving the schedule to avoid the frontload/backload of SEC home games depending on the year.
