Vols Rushing D #3 in SEC

I'm not!

He has played in 25 career games and doesnt have ONE Int...
Hadden has 3 Ints in the last 5 games.

Burrell can stay right where he is. On the bench.

We need the coaches to play our freshman edge rushers more. Not start them.
But play them much more than they're doing now. It made a difference in the UF game.

Banks and Heupel need to stop being so 1990 on defensive personnel rotation.
Lol because you are at practice and see what goes on right ? Heup is building a culture where players who deserve and earn playing time will play… it shocks me at how many people think they know more than the coaching staff who get paid to do this and are with the team wayyyyy more than we are… please explain how they are so 1990 with anything ? We rotate Quite a bit on defense.

They have PS controllers in their hands, know how "easy" it is, and want to sit in the stands and call the plays on their controllers. It's ridiculous.

At 98 yards/game, Vols trail only Alabama (62) and Georgia (86) among SEC teams.
Is this because we have good DLine talent and a good scheme, or because it's easy to throw on us?
Vols passing D is 3rd from worst in all of FBS at 310 yards/game.
Is there a fix for the horrible pass D or do we just have to sweat it out every week?

There is a solution. We could play dirty like Ball State. But then, that would make things worse for sure.Ball State and others get away with such, blessed by the refs. Vols treated the same? NNAAWW!

The tackling was really bad last week in the back 7. That's the first thing they need to clean up. UF found way too many holes in that zone they were playing ,that's coaching.. Tennessee has some problems in the back 7 only recruiting and maybe a couple of position coach changes can fix.

Look at the average YPC allowed. The defensive line is pretty good and you have to give props to RG.

TN has talent in the front seven along with some depth to stop the run. They even get pressure at times, esp Pitt, during last plays.
However, the secondary is hurting us. One could see the WR get open as the olay developed. We tried man and zone, both. Our safeties aren’t as athletic as they need to be so “it is what it is” at this point.

My hope is the defense can get off the field onn3rd down instead of teams going for it on 4th and 2 or 3. There were missed tackles by our DBs vs. Florida, but again, some of that is their receivers were more athletic than our DBs. The DBs took bad angles and then the fundamentals begin to disappear when a player becomes tired.

He's good at running the ball as well...
He’s basically Russell Wilson, RGIII, Cam Newton, Joe Burrow, and Tim Tebow all combined. Much better than any other QB we’ll play this season. We’ve actually already lost to LSU because of how good he is. 4-1

I think Garner’s Dline is the strongest unit on defensive. Better talent and more depth than the secondary.
Is Thomas the only top 100 recruit on our D line? Young is certainly talented, but he took a unconventional path to UT. Garner is getting the most out of guys who weren’t highly ranked - the dude knows how to coach! Wish we could find a couple more position coaches on D who can coach guys up as much as Garner does his group.

Play more aggressive in coverages and blitzes

The front is playing well. I suspect the priority is to stop the run knowing that's what opponents would prefer to do. They would like to run and keep the ball away from UT. Unfortunately, the scheme, playcalling, and secondary aren't holding up against the pass.

Ive not played video games in 15 years.

You all wanting Burrell out there, are insane.

You want to hide behind WHAT YOU THINK the coaches are thinking lol. And use that to justify a player that routinely gets beat in every part of the actual game.

As if coaches don't ever get fired🙄...
Not like I was even questioning them anyway. So you and that other fool's take is illogical and irrelevant.
