To the males in the room, right? Females remember every step of the way, and curse certain steps in the delivery room.Just be thankful he didn't go full engineer and detail every step in the process from conception to birth.
To the males in the room, right? Females remember every step of the way, and curse certain steps in the delivery room.. Oh course, our parents and children never have sex, it’s all a magic trick.
Simmer down, I know. I was married to one.Was making an engineer joke about how they sometimes get bogged down in the details of each step in the process and they bury the lead. (i.e., see the text that Exie got about 4 fish sticks and oh yeah, there's a baby)
Oh yeah, I remember I was called every name in the book during labor. Ha ha
Can you imagine what it was like, after being in warm darkness (maybe a little dark red), floating along, just hearing your mom’s heartbeat and her muffled voice and the whoosh-whoosh of all the plumbing, to suddenly be out in a world of hot and cold, loudness and silence, and brightness and colors and shapes and movements? That look. ❤
When do you get to meet that perfect person for the first time? Can you imagine what it was like, after being in warm darkness (maybe a little dark red), floating along, just hearing your mom’s heartbeat and her muffled voice and the whoosh-whoosh of all the plumbing, to suddenly be out in a world of hot and cold, loudness and silence, and brightness and colors and shapes and movements?
What a wonderful world.
Tomorrow, I hope! When do you get to meet that perfect person for the first time?
It does bounces an egg beautifullyTomorrow, I hope!
I can’t visit while they’re in hospital, and the doc wants to do a 30-hour bili (which would be around 1 am Monday), and then all the usual discharge fol-de-rol. We’re hoping for early afternoon.
And then, please God, I get to sleep in my own bed tomorrow night. Oh right, and with Hubs, but my own bed. Although they do have one helluva mattress. Purple or something?
Between my first and second I heard someone talk about the baby hearing your voice. Crazy how it changed my perspective.
