I'll never forget Derek Dooley getting fired and a week later fox had him on their recruiting show and asked him what he thought about von bell and he literally said "who is von bell?". I'm thinking you complete and utter moron!! He is literally the best safety prospect in high school football and he's in your back yard and you don't know who he is!? Lololol and he said him and counzo were forced out 😂😂😂 you ****ing idiot. Screw you Dooley, I hope we wipe the floor with offense come Saturday.

Dooley played at Auburn (1951-53) and was an assistant coach for the Tigers (1956-63) before taking the head coaching job at his alma mater’s rival school.

Pruitt played at Alabama (1995-96) before being an assistant coach for the Crimson Tide (1997, 2007-12, 2016-17) and then taking a head coaching job at a rival school.
Dooley said it was not hard to transition from one school to the other and does not think it was tough for Pruitt either.

“It’s awfully hard for fans to understand,” Dooley said. “While we love our alma mater, we are professionals and we have to take advantage of the opportunity in the profession.

“So once I came to Georgia, I had to commit myself to Georgia, just like Coach Pruitt had to commit himself to Tennessee – because that is your job. Even though you have great respect for where you were, you are now in charge of another program and you have to be totally into that program.”

Hopefully that will soothe some of yall that think Pruitt's heart isn't really here. Don't worry about where Pruitt came from cause he's All Vol now.

Maybe he is talking about Derek being a db and not Vince?
If this was meant for me, yea, I assumed he meant Derek.

I'm curious why he's a DB. Obviously he was a terrible HC, but why a DB?

I mean, I don't care, just asking.

We learned real quick that Derek wasn't his daddy. For all of Butch's flaws he was at least likeable for a while. I wanted Derek to succeed but I'll be damned if he didn't rub me the wrong way from the start. Hopefully Pruitt will eat his lunch Saturday

It was, just forgot to quote. I know nothing about the man. I heard stories when and after he was coaching. But that is with every coach at every school.

And I agree, all the ones that ran through the coaching mill here, he was my least favorite.

I still think Dooley threw the Mizzou game in 2012 because he knew he was going to be fired. Go back and watch the end of regulation. Weirdest thing I've seen as a Vols fan coaching wise. He deserved to be OC at Mizzou for a year solely based on that.

I'll say this. One thing is for sure. If we had waited until the end of last year before firing Dooley, we would be years ahead of where we are now! I'll take him over Butch Jones at about a hundred to one!
