Well thats weird. Randolph just popped up on the 10:59 update of the Pats tracker as a tryout with the Titans, but there's nothing on his twitter.
My angle is that pay might be ok in a city like Nashville but really is squat in other places.

This chart says the average starting salary for LA is 51k. It takes the average earner 20 years to make more than 91k. Doesn't seem like such a bad deal to me. Also, there's a potential to make a lot more while having back-up options if football doesn't work out.
