I can’t recall having so many people quaking in their boots against a Vandy team. Even in the Dooley/Franklin days. This ain’t that. It’s Vandy AT Tennessee. Vols by 50.

No one is quaking in any boots. The low IQ poster said that Vandy sucks, their QB is a loser and their coach is a loser.

I hope and believe we still win. But an acknowledgment of Vandy’s success doesn’t equal fear.

Not fear, its acknowledgment of a douchey bandwagony fanbase that deserves zero extra acknowledgement from Vols fans. Among my circle (I’m mid 50’s) there are Vols and Vandy fans, we never ever tell them anything nice about their team and visa versa. It’s just good old fashioned rivalry trash talk. Whomever loses gets 1 full year of ridiculing.

I’ve read the room. Just because others are idiots doesn’t mean I have to be one. I don’t take anything seriously. Especially calling other coaches or players “losers” because I cheer for an opposing team. That is taking things too seriously.

If "Better" is some ambiguous concept that is just a version of 'the eye test," then fine. Say whoever you want is better. But, they have won more games with the same number of chances.

The good news is that they play soon. There will be no need to debate. The better team will win the game. If they do not, what is the point of being better?
