The varicella vaccine is a live attenuated virus vaccine that is designed to prevent initial infection with "chicken pox."How is the chickenpox vaccine different from shingles? I thought they were both caused by the same pathogen?
Oh gotcha. Sorry, I rarely pay attention to screenshots, social media posts, YouTube videos, etc since 95% of them are nonsensical garbage.Post 30,496
Hold on….. I think it’s lavender oil.Oh gotcha. Sorry, I rarely pay attention to screenshots, social media posts, YouTube videos, etc since 95% of them are nonsensical garbage.
His point is good though: things were so much better before vaccines prevented things like blood sepsis, meningitis, and Polio, and bacterial infections really do respond nicely to vitamins, chiropractor adjustments, and frankincense oil.
The varicella vaccine is a live attenuated virus vaccine that is designed to prevent initial infection with "chicken pox."
After infection, the varicella virus is able to survive in low numbers, dormant in nerve roots just off the spinal cord. Reactivation of the virus (mechanism pooly understood) leads to multiplication and emergence of infection, usually along a single nerve dermatome on one side of the body.
The zoster vaccine (Shingrix) is a recombinant/inactive vaccine (no live virus) designed to boost the immune system's production of antibodies and prevent/neutralize any attempted reactivation of the virus (which would lead to "shingles").
Does that make sense?
I swear half of the seemingly-educated, well-off women that I know were convinced by the internet to turn to witchcraft about 10 years ago.
I actually like the smell of certain oils (primarily the earthy/woodsy ones), and I make my own pre-shave oil and diffuse some in the basement. I have just never seen any legit evidence of any efficacy in treating a medical condition. And, don't get me started on the people who bathe themselves in them and smell up the whole office when they come in.You should go to yoga with me. Everything smells like mint and lavender. And everyone there will be happy to explain the most recent natural remedy.
Do you have any remorse for coming in this thread and telling us “vaccine or ventilator”?Ok so the only vaccine that I have ever been hesitant about was the shingles vaccine because it used to be a live virus...but I decided to get the new one which is a dead virus but it is the only vaccine that I have ever gotten that made my arm red at the injection site and warm and stayed that way for a week. I know that it is my immune system reacting but it has not happened before with any other vaccine....and you know that I used to get 6 up each arm going over seas and that I have had 7 covid shots, numerous flu shots, a few different pneumonia shots ect.
According to GSK’s account to the House panel, Dormitzer told colleagues at the British drugmaker last year that three of the most senior people at Pfizer R&D were “involved in a decision to deliberately slow down clinical testing so that it would not be complete prior to the results of the presidential election that year.”
