Vaccine or not?

How is the chickenpox vaccine different from shingles? I thought they were both caused by the same pathogen?
The varicella vaccine is a live attenuated virus vaccine that is designed to prevent initial infection with "chicken pox."

After infection, the varicella virus is able to survive in low numbers, dormant in nerve roots just off the spinal cord. Reactivation of the virus (mechanism pooly understood) leads to multiplication and emergence of infection, usually along a single nerve dermatome on one side of the body.

The zoster vaccine (Shingrix) is a recombinant/inactive vaccine (no live virus) designed to boost the immune system's production of antibodies and prevent/neutralize any attempted reactivation of the virus (which would lead to "shingles").

Does that make sense?

Oh gotcha. Sorry, I rarely pay attention to screenshots, social media posts, YouTube videos, etc since 95% of them are nonsensical garbage.

His point is good though: things were so much better before vaccines prevented things like blood sepsis, meningitis, and Polio, and bacterial infections really do respond nicely to vitamins, chiropractor adjustments, and frankincense oil.

Hold on….. I think it’s lavender oil.

You should go to yoga with me. Everything smells like mint and lavender. And everyone there will be happy to explain the most recent natural remedy.

Perfect explanation bud. Extra credit for the succinct breakdown on why pox leads to shingles. Thank you. I will probably get the shingles jab.

My wife is one of them sadly. The hospital kidnapping her Dad for 21 days and allowing him to die from secondary infections during covid, combined with all the lies from pharma/gov regarding Ivermectin, masks, etc sealed the deal. She is a devout Christian and a full blown witch. My son just got married and moved out so he is mostly OK....but my poor daughter has had to take eye of newt, spider legs, and every vitamin, mineral, and element on the periodic table before she gets to try Western medicine. Good grief. It doesnt matter if you've got a sore throat, a rash, or a sprained ankle...the fellow witches in the nationwide coven definitely have "cures" all over Facegram and tiktok for any condition. Crazy stuff....and No, we aren't getting any chickens. Social media is gonna be the downfall of Western civilization. Maybe mankind.

I actually like the smell of certain oils (primarily the earthy/woodsy ones), and I make my own pre-shave oil and diffuse some in the basement. I have just never seen any legit evidence of any efficacy in treating a medical condition. And, don't get me started on the people who bathe themselves in them and smell up the whole office when they come in.
