By now you've heard this one because it's ridiculous. She was a nurse who died of COVID and told her family not to get vaccinated while she was taking her last breaths. Just ridiculous. Again, what kind of schooling do these nurses receive?

What I don't understand is the overall lack of concern for the greater good by those who reject the vaccine based on internet "research" or an unsubstantiated claim. Yeah, some folks have serious side effects to the vaccine. The number is miniscule by comparison to the number of folks who have serious effects from covid. Yeah some folks have died as a result of complications associated with the vaccine. The number of deaths from covid is astronomical. "But they don't know what is in it". Yeah and you probably don't know what's in that fried chicken you got from the gas station either. You probably don't know what is in your prescription or OTC meds either.

Folks, I want my life back as much as anyone. The greater good has to come into play. My individual freedom is smaller than the greater good. My (or your) freedoms and liberties end where someone else's begins. If everyone truly wants the pandemic to end, we need as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible. When the virus can't find a new host, it dies out. Pretty simple. The bigger problem is not the pandemic nor the vaccine, it is the enormous divide that all of it has caused. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.

So I support getting the vaccine, have gotten mine, even to include the booster. But I still don't understand why some think the vaccine should be mandated? Or why we're even arguing over it. If the vaccine protects you or at least lessens the effect if you do get COVID, then why the concern over the spread? If you're protected, you're protected. If people choose not to get protected, then that's on them. Why try to regulate someone else's life? To me, IMO, the left pushing for mandates totally flies in the face of why they think abortion should be legal. My body, my choice. I chose to get vaccinated. If Willie down the street decides not to get vaxxed, why is it my business if the vaccine protects me?

Something that I’m noticing is that people don’t understand the huge difference in chances of getting and dying from Covid when you are vaccinated compared to unvaccinated. They say, if you can get it and spread it, what’s the point of the vaccine. This is unbelievably dangerous.
Actual chances of getting and or dying from Covid when you are vaccinated or unvaccinated…

Unvaccinated 1 in 10 chance of contracting Covid
Unvaccinated 1 in 451 chance of dying from Covid once you contracted it.

Vaccinated 1 in 12,610 chance of contracting Covid.
Vaccinated 1 in 89000 chance of dying from Covid if you contract it.

So what you are saying as someone who claims to be a doctor is dangerous.

This has been asked and never answered. What is the acceptable rate? To me it seems like a personal choice, but you want to mandate what risks we take. So clearly you must have a number.

Not at all. However, the vaxxed people overall have fewer symptoms and require far less medical care. They can and do transmit the virus, but the overall effect is diminished.

It’s not lost on me that everyone has changed sides on this issue after it was no longer Trump’s vaccine and became the Biden’s vaccine.

This is not the case if not adjusting or accounting for age and overall health. Y’all are repeatedly lumping all individuals together in a broad category of unvaxed when the severity of an infection is much deeper than that. I had 3 immediate family members test positive in the matter of two weeks; two unvaccinated and one vaccinated. Their severity of symptoms were all roughly the same because the two unvaxed are much healthier than the one vaxed. The vaccine no doubt helped the severity of my mother’s condition and would’ve likely helped my dad and sister as well as far as symptoms but neither one of them were on their death beds or remotely close to being admitted to a hospital.

Meanwhile I have a coworker’s vaxed husband in the hospital gasping for breath and it’s likely she winds up there too before it’s all said and done because they’re extremely obese and lead extremely unhealthy lifestyles from diet, to smoking, to lack of exercise etc.

Not disclosing or acknowledging the overall health situation of the unvaxed who are requiring intense care/therapy and simply working off the premise it’s because they’re unvaxed is a form of misinformation in and of itself, because it’s not providing the full scope of facts.
