Utah State

They were better to start with. Its hard to mold sculptures with playdough.

Just keep telling yourself that. There was MORE than enough talent to perform significantly better than they did... but you can blind yourself and throw the players under the bus if you want.

So you think we had comparable talent? Walkons starting and in the 2 deep? Im not ridiculing players, Im pointing out facts when you ask for them. Apparently you are not paying attention to the coaches.

Was it coaching last year?

Or was it the talent or lack there of?

Different year, same results

Talent. When players like Jaron Toney, Devaun Swafford, Dontavis Sapp, Brent Brewer, Justin Coleman and Daniel Hood make up a lot of your defense then you're in trouble. Not a knock on any of our guys, because a lot of them played well given their talent level, but they wouldve never seen the field at virtually any other SEC school outside of UK.

When a potter makes a bad piece of pottery, do you blame the clay for not being formed well?

Stop with your facts

Did you see the last stop by Michigan State last night?

The linebacker who made the stop was a walk-on.

Coached properly to read the backfield, elevate and stop the rush at the point of attack...

I was saying they are born with the talent they have.

Talent only gets you so far

That player still has to learn the plays, how to execute, blocking and blocking schemes, snap counts, routes, etc etc.. That is taught by our coaching staff. If they cannot teach, the players can't learn and won't execute.

They talked about how much film he watched to prepare for the game

Some players do what is necessary on their own. The others should be motivated by the coaches to do what is necessary to perform their best

I didn't see a motivated team against several opponents this year. Some, we were badly outmatched. The Vandy game was just not one of those.
