UT/Montana great pay per view FAQ thread

I wonder if this game will be in HD, so far all ppv I get are not HD. Anyone else have this issue?

I was going to watch the game with my folks at their house in West Knoxville, but they have TDS telecom and they are saying they arent carrying the game...anyone else having this issue?

Not sure if this will work in a blackout area, but I've tried it today and it works. If it doesn't work in the blackout area, you may have to use the Hotspot Shield option that was mentioned before (I won't know until gametime which way it will work...if at all).

Anyway, if you are NOT in the blackout area and your internet provider doesn't offer ESPN3, you can follow these steps and it should work (again, it worked for me!):

1) Go to att.net
2) Make sure you are logged out of any Yahoo! accounts you have
3) Click on the "mail" icon
4) Sign up for a free att.net e-mail account
5) At the espn3.com page, select AT&T as your Internet Service Provider and sign in on the att.net page with your new att.net e-mail account
6) ESPN3 should now allow you stream events

:good!: This is working for me as well...hope it's still doing that tomorrow night!!

Just found it in my area on comcast. 451 EPPV1, wow is all I can say it says $118.00+ fees/taxes

You must be in the ATL area as well. I dont understand why Comcast here doesnt carry espn3 since the site says "Powered by Xfinity"

But you can follow the instuctions earlier in this thread on signing up for an att.net account and it should work, did for me.

IM monitoring 3 or 4 sites that might stream the game, i'll let you know tomorrow.

I went through this last year. The guy I spoke with today tried the same thing and he mustve thought I was slow by asking him to pay more than 25 bucks. He kept looking and admitted he was wrong. Good luck tho.

I looked on the menu guide, and sure enough I saw the game plan on ch.455 and ppv on 456. I called back again, and they corrected it. I do not know how they kept messing that up, but thanks to your post, I got them to correct it. THANKS!:salute:

Just to make sure others see this, if you have DISH NETWORK, make sure they give you ch. 456 for 34.99 and not ch. 455 for $25. The $25 is the single game under the espn game plan package and is blacked out. I had to call three times to get them to correct this!

Post of the week, IMO

Absolutely best pre season post. I am in b'ham, have no TV to watch at all. I am watching the TCU Baylor game as we speak on ESPN3 via Hotspot even though my IP does not provide it. AMAZING. GBO!!!

North Mississippi. Really close to the border to get into Tennessee. The game won't be blacked out on espn3 since I'm so close will it? Sorry If it's a dumb question, just was wondering. Go vols!

I don't expect that it would unless the address associated with you ISP account is in Tennessee.

I'm in Atlanta for the weekend and espn3/watchespn.com isn't supported by my hotel's ISP... so I'm also in need of an additional streaming source.

Go to the first thread in the football forum * UT/Montana pay per view FAQ. There are several threads regarding Hotspot shield and how to receive a proxy ISP (look near the end). You can then receive ESPN3. I am as we speak. GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm in sw virginia and it will be on espn3, it only applies to the borders of tn, i watched the game last year and watched all the games not on espn/espn2/cbs on espn3 (i'm in ACC country so no SEC Network)

If you can't go to the games, it is better to be outside of Tennessee state borders. ESPN3 or Gameplan shows most UT games not on CBS or ESPN

You should be good the only state blacked out was Tennessee on the map.
