UT close to deal with Jeff Brohm

He’s also got the #38 recruiting class at Purdue. Considering the school, that’s very impressive.

Had a reputation for locking down l Kentucky recruits at WKU, and had been building ties in the Ohio/Indiana areas. Can’t hurt for us.

I said about a month ago I would be fine with Brohm. Preferred a big name and splash, but we don't do those at UT.

Honest question though for those that follow recruiting closely - is Brohm thought of as a good recruiter? According to TOS rankings, Purdue is currently #46 with 21 of the 22 recruits being 3 stars. Now don't get me wrong, it can't be easy to recruit football players to West Lafayette, Indiana, so I don't hold that against him too much. Just curious if anyone had thoughts on that aspect of his coaching.

6 and 6 at Perdue. Currie should be tarred and feathered. The ghoul Haslam should be exorcised from the program, and Peyton, well Peyton should just be ashamed. I'll be the guy in the Fire Currie t-shirt at the game tonight if you want to discuss it. I'll not spend a penny on concessions, never stop at Pilot unless it's to take a big dump, and will always use free or second-hand tickets to basketball games. I'm done with Tennessee football.

Bye! :)

Players love him. He'll get the most out of our offensive talent and runs a great innovative style. Guy is super humble, doesn't have an agent and drives the same car since 2006.

If he can get recruits, he will win here.

We could do much much worse.

I followed him this year, seemed like a promising up and comer... just didn't think we were going to have to go that route...

We didn't have to at first. Apparently, that was the path chosen by our leadership from the start. At some level, we saw this coming didn't we?

Asking for a friend before he buys paint.

I know most wont like his assistants, he will be bringing his brothers as both coordinators. Is it safe to assume that there is no nepotism laws in Tennessee? I would think that is accurate since Lane hired Monte.

I saw give the staff a chance but that creates a Big problem if either can’t cut it in the SEC. Hard to fire your brother.

Petrino was the head coach at Western Kentucky that season. Brohm was on staff though.

Yeahhh.
