He has potential and I will support him. I don't think he will scare anyone in the SEC but we could have done much worse like Schiano.

I wonder what we had to pay to get him.

I see your point but I'll say this. I was offered an assistant job at my former high school and at another school who was much more successful. At the time I wanted to be a very successful coach. I took the job that would give me the best opportunity to win.

1. He has had success...
2. He has more wins the Tennessee this year in the SEC
3. We have been turned down by several Coaches
4. Early Signing period is fast approaching
5. His hiring will get us past all this mess, and at the very least do as good (but IMO) much better than Jones, though we may still be without an SEC championship.

That being said I completely understand the deflation. I was much higher on Gundy yesterday and would have LOVED that hire. This one is just meh, but again...at this point we are not left with many realistic options (they are not going to pursue Kiffin or Martin)

If we land Brohm, we better hope he brings his DC with him. Almost all his games this year were low scoring. Held Iowa to 15(same team that hung 55 on OSU), and Wisconsin to 17.

How is his resume worse than Butch's? Your definition of worse is questionable to me.

He's playing in a P5 conference at Purdue. Butch was playing at freaking Cincinatti.
