I am going to have to completely disagree. The way to create quality education is to introduce competition. Until then, we will have shoddy public schools in most all of the school districts in the U.S.I'm still not sure why teachers don't get paid more. If they did, I think there would be better quality teachers with more competition.
Oh, and as for the money thing. It costs the government, on average, $9,000 to send a child through one school year. I know that my alma mater currently costs $2,300 per student. It is one of the top schools in the nation. So, throwing more money at the problem, will not fix it...EVER.
