Update on Henry T

I’ve said this form the time Henry T entered to portal, he always wanted to stay at UT but family (father) was pushing him to Bama (still might transfer) IMO.
I think the father has said repeatedly that was not his twitter account. However, You may be right ...I don't know the family. But I've heard that from multiple sources (whatever that is)

I want him back. He will help the team. All of the off the field stuff will just be noise when the season starts. Coaching staff will determine if he deserves to play or not before the kickoff- so- PLAY BALL YOUNG MAN!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my educated opinion on the drop off in production by HT last season.... He was able to play fast as a freshman because Bituli was making the play calls up front, and Nigel Warrior was making calls on the back end. He was tasked with being the leader and play caller for the defense last season. He was constantly trying to get people in position before every play, and it affected his ability to play fast. If the new coaches simplify the defense, we will see a very different HT (if he stays).

He better get to getting stronger, he needs to add a few pounds. He should have been working out this winter, we shall see how he performs nothing is going to given. Needs to earn his spot even if it is our weak area. I hope all goes well, it's time for him to totally by in at this point. We have players that have been working all winter. GBO!
This^^. I got so f&*%^ing tired of watching him get trucked by 215 lb RB's.

Henry T could definitely help us. My guess is though if he gets back with the team for workouts and all is that he will go through spring practice and then transfer to Alabama and carry our new offensive playbook with him.

If he really wants to be back, then be all in. Don’t go through spring practice just to leave afterwards. Honestly I don’t know how it’s gonna go given what his dad said. How are the other players gonna view him?
What did dad say? I must have missed it.

No player should ever play for any fan base. If you take a wrong step on the field and the opponent scores, you're attacked. If you take a wrong step off the field and get suspended you get attacked. If you step back to consider your options when everybody who was responsible for your performance and your development has left, you get attacked. The fans are not your friends. You play for the coaches, you play for your teammates, you play for your own personal pride, and if you're lucky you play for pride of the team you're representing. But you never play for the fans, because they will never have your back.
I think too many of the posters here think the players actually see, pay any attention too, or would even care what is being said here. Do they care if the other students the see each day hate them...??? Probably. But I highly doubt they even know this forum even exist to be honest with you.

I don’t care honestly. If he’s in now he’s all in. I’m fine with it. I think some underestimate how much BS some of these players went through. Having got pause and consider is understandable to me.

Henry was definitely one of my favorite players. I almost bought a new number 11 jersey several times. Now, I like him as much as the 3rd string punter. No offense to the 3rd string punter, but you get what I’m saying. He’s just another player.

We have had known students and known players' parents on this board, so it's reasonable to think at least some of them know exactly what the fans are saying about them. With any luck they read the bile the other fans write about their teams so they at least know it's not just us.

I suspect he shopped himself around the portal like they all do and found limited options. Take off you rose colored glasses for a moment and ponder the fact that he even looked elsewhere. He is a mercenary not a hero.

That's fine. Let him be our mercenary. If he stays, 15 years from now we aren't going to give a crap and he likely won't, either. He will just be another Vol if he stays.

I thought he posted a tweet basically saying his son came to TN to play for Pruitt and that he wouldn't make the same mistake again. Alluded to AL being his destination.

A tweet? Really? Man tuck Fwitter. Crap gets posted on there and deleted every freakin day. And jughead journalists make a big deal out of it, and much of it ends up being nothing. If that is your "source"? Give it a rest.

According to AP on tos he was only back in town to collect his property from his room. Not back with the team as far as he knows.
