Uniform/Helmet/Shoe design thread (merged)

Even with wild uniforms like Oregon, they generally keep things like the wings and the O on the helmet, except for in throw/faux-backs. Like you said, you have to keep your brand. Just slapping logos on stuff is amateur hour, like 99% of the concepts posted on here.
My favorite story about Oregon uniforms happened before I retired. A woman from Dalllas that I worked with who was a huge football fan (Univ of Texas alum) and her husband also a Texas grad have two boys who at that time were 10 & 12. All they wanted for Xmas were Oregon football jerseys. I just smiled.

Wasnt the biggest fan of these. The Addidas storm troopers were my favorite.
They were terrible. I didn’t mind the storm troopers when they didnt have the script Tennessee on the jersey, but no regular jersey should have script Tennessee IMO.

This shouldn’t have happened

Is this a done deal or are we still negotiating with both companies?

I’m with you, this is just nuts. Athletes prefer Nike, and what about dollars on the backed with merch sales? Go look up “university” on the Adidas website and tell me how that goes.

Pivoting to Adidas would be a travesty and Danny should be embarrassed.

I would rather be a good, well paid actor, with an ensemble cast, in a great movie, than be the lead actor in ****** movie. I don’t know if that analogy makes any sense, but that’s how I see it.

Danny White is one of the best ADs in the country, but I think this would be his first real mistake.

EXACTLY.

Adidas has almost ZERO stars when it comes to athletes*.

*They have Messi and Mahomes. Does anyone actually GAF and make purchasing decisions off that? MAYBE in the case of Messi, but I'd say for the vast majority, no.

Adidas is trash (uni wise)

I do prefer their shoes and gear though.
crazily there was an abundance of kick ass gear like jerseys, and hats when we were with adidas. I ordered my Nike Hendo Dark Mode off Ebay. Its legit the most authentic jersey ive seen, even has SEC patch.

Fans shouldnt have to go to some rando website for authentic Nike gear. Their gear isnt available to public, and their best gear is only availlable to teams.

I was under the impression that there were 3. Nike, adidas and Under Armour
Under Armour hasn't bid for a P4 contract since their bankruptcy in 2021. They've continued existing deals but haven't signed any new schools or submitted bids for them. They didn't even offer a matching bid at Auburn last year.

Not since 2021.

I read a tweet about Nike having fake new "drops" that were re-released items that went unsold from Oregon State and UT.
Were we not hitting their numbers? Is that why we are back in the EBT line of Uniforms? We didn't live up to their margin hopes lol?
