Unconditional love

Some fans have unconditional love for Tennessee. I am one of those fans.

We don't take personal responsibility for decisions the administration makes. We don't take responsibility for calls the coaches make. We have opinions, and gripes, and concerns of course. But we don't have grand delusions that anything we say or do will make a difference in, well, anything.

We just love the Vols. We love dressing in orange. We love attending games. We love cheering til we're hoarse, win or lose.

We are the fans that showed up, and showed out, Saturday night. We are the fans that the announcers talked about. We are the fans that Pruitt talked about. And we are the fans who are all over social media supporting the Vols.

So feel free to take your stand in what ever manner you feel you need to. Boycott the games. Call yourself a nega-vol, and wear it like some kind of badge. Quit buying the stuff. Stop going to games. Say whatever you need to say, wherever you need to say it.

But don't think less of us just because we love the Vols. Because I promise you.....Saturday night we felt ALL the feels. And you missed out.

GO VOLS!!!

Post of the year nominee Volly! It's why we love ya!

Have we turned the corner? I don’t know. Is Pruitt the one to lead us out of the wilderness? I don’t know. But I have been needing some hope for awhile now. The last three games have given me that glimmer and I’m thankful for that!

We don't know... The truest statement we can make. But, I think Coach P AND his staff are good enough to lead this team anywhere. If you look at the pedigree of this staff, where in college football can you find a better one??

‘twas a harbinger of things to come.

The old volcano, otherwise known as Neyland Stadium, has been dormant for a long time. She has only begun to “clear her throat.” With continued upward progress, she will again become a palpable and powerful source of emotional fuel for our orange-clad warriors.

Some are missing the point of volly’s post. She wasn’t calling out the fans that didn’t go to the game because they couldn’t, just the blustery ones that have made their brags about boycotting games and not buying tickets until a better product is put on the field. Lol, they aren’t really hurting anything or anyone by doing so, just themselves. It is their prerogative.

And many miss the point, why call anyone out? Want to do away with negativity, stop generating it? Again, personally for me, to each their own...do whatever you want. So much time spent try to explain one perspective. The amount of people that actually called for a boycott is so small, does it really warrant so much attention? After every win, we have tons of these threads that in turn are followed by sp many "stop being negative" threads.
For once it appeared the majority of the discussion was going to actually center around football and not who the true fans are.

Thanks for the interpretation. Not having female equipment, my eyes glaze over and I get a brain fog when I read a post with the term 'feels' in it.

My advice here, is just ignore the thread, move on to one you agree with, realizing that it might be difficult to do.

The start of this year was horrible, heck, by and large, this decade has been horrible, but my support and love for Tennessee has never wavered. The bad games/years makes winning that much more sweet. So many of us on here have witnessed Tennessee's lowest point and it is going to make our next dynasty era that much better.

She's talking about me, and likely a very few others. Those were almost my exact words...words I stand by. I just find it interesting that some believe standing by one's beliefs in something....caring about it so much as to not endorse mismanagement, is somehow hurting ourselves.

Don't be deceived...I was as thrilled as anyone over our victory, and more specifically the improvement over the last month, as any self-proclaimed true, unconditional fan. I went out of my way to say so. It was a great sports weekend for me....my sons college football team is on a two week winning streak, and he's enjoying a lot of success at a new position. And then I got to go home and catch a dominating second half against USCjr...who I truly detest.

Save the self-righteous pity...I didn't miss out on anything.

Go Vols.
