Unconditional love

My question would be, why is there any need to fo that? Aren't we all just supposed to enjoy the win? Why try to call out amy fan for whatever they believe? These types of threads always generate the exact same discussion, so why even do it?
Reminds me of that story I heard a while back. An old couple was watching a beautiful sunset when the old man noticed a teen looking at their phone instead enjoying the sunset. He began ranting to his wife about how the teen would rather look at his phone rather than enjoy the sunset. After a few minutes, the wife said " look at that old man right there that cant enjoy the sunset because of that teen looking at their phone.

But here you are. You can't just enjoy the win for letting a stupid thread take away from it. Are you the old man or the teen?

The ones making the stink in here are the ones that bish the most and the loudest when things are going terrible. Let a few thinks start looking good and there being potential that they might be wrong and here we are. That's just what they do. I'm getting used to it.

Live and let live. I won't judge you for being there or not being there, and you reciprocate with the same. What's funny to me is that someone else always knows what's best for you and what you should be doing.

I'm not bishing about it.

I'm crying about your crying about it and I've already admitted I do that so I don't know what to tell you.
So you are crying about my crying about someone elses crying? Cool. Maybe I should start an eat crow thread for all those that swore this roster wasnt capable of competing in the sec. That should get everyone going....lol

Unfortunately I wasn't at the game Saturday, but I was glued to the TV. Y'all sounded AWESOME on TV. And the announcers made note of it more than once. Well done Volnation!

I'm proudly wearing my orange today at work too. And the lanyard that holds my work badge is all Tennessee.

GBO!!!

Some fans have unconditional love for Tennessee. I am one of those fans.

We don't take personal responsibility for decisions the administration makes. We don't take responsibility for calls the coaches make. We have opinions, and gripes, and concerns of course. But we don't have grand delusions that anything we say or do will make a difference in, well, anything.

We just love the Vols. We love dressing in orange. We love attending games. We love cheering til we're hoarse, win or lose.

We are the fans that showed up, and showed out, Saturday night. We are the fans that the announcers talked about. We are the fans that Pruitt talked about. And we are the fans who are all over social media supporting the Vols.

So feel free to take your stand in what ever manner you feel you need to. Boycott the games. Call yourself a nega-vol, and wear it like some kind of badge. Quit buying the stuff. Stop going to games. Say whatever you need to say, wherever you need to say it.

But don't think less of us just because we love the Vols. Because I promise you.....Saturday night we felt ALL the feels. And you missed out.

GO VOLS!!!
I was at the game with my next door neighbors. We were in the "nose bleed" seats (MM) and were having a blast! It was my neighbors 2 girls (teens) first Tennessee game and they enjoyed it. Just maybe this game brought 2 new VFLs to the fold. GO VOLS.

Yes, might as well admit to it before someone accuses me of it whether that's what it is or not. I'm also triggered and butthurt and worshipping coach. My name is Nancy and I'm a sunshine pumper.

Go for it, doesn't bother me. It was worse than what some thought, but not nearly as bad as others thought. I gave my opinion on it a couple of times in, but didn't feel the need to copy and paste it several times in every thread to make sure everyone saw it.

Its obvious to me who the post was directed to. The kind of negativity you say its drawing is a different type of negativity, this is just criticism and truth, and according to the negativity experts, that's permissible and pretty much the purpose of this board.

I see what you mean, but its still negativity. Folks will complain about and then say things they know is going to bring it.

With this bunch anything at all is going to draw negativity no matter what, so might as well just go for it. I mean in the big picture the worst thing that can happen is someone cries about it. Lol.

Why do you assume to know that people “missed out”? I dropped my family’s season tix, but I assure you we didn’t “miss out”. You beat your chest about how your love is unconditional and you were there Saturday and always wear orange but pretty much just come across sounding really arrogant and “true fanish”. I assure you me and my family and thousands of other vol fans at home missed out on nothing watching from home cheering and high fiving. No one watching Vols football after the last like 20 years has conditional love, that is just asinine to believe. Jump off the high horse, the true fan “ me and my diddy lubbed dem Vols” posts are so freaking corny.

Mmmm, naaah...simply indisputable that you missed out; watching from home isn't Neyland.
Lub you, anyway.

I think it's hilarious for 2 reasons
1. She specifically said those that don't want to support the program

2. She didn't say anything bad towards them, just "don't think less of us".

Followed by several people saying they don't fall into that category but they're all butt hurt and offended anyway. Over an insult she never made😅
