Most of these are built in the US these days, but they are all Swedish owned and designed.

Sweden was far more pro-west during the Cold War than neutral. Being that they were in the way in a conventional hypothetical WWIII scenario meant their territory was likely to be violated as the USSR went after Norway. So they tended to sway towards the west in most matters.
But you forgot the most important part of the Ukraine being a part of NATO. It will give Ras a plethora of posting material.

Concerning Scotland's independence, if they vote to leave it could cost Britain it's nuclear weapons. I was reading awhile back that the British MoD said it wasn't feasible to move the weapons and subs to another location. Still, I think the "No" vote wins out in the end.

If Scotland vote to go independent they are idiots for one! But I think Trident would either be moved somehow or an agreement would be made, if the Yes vote were to win out, that the weapons can be kept in Scotland under UK control.
But Scotland would be very silly to vote for independence for numerous reasons that I can explain in-depth if anyone cares enough. Maybe there should be a new thread for this topic.
