Ukraine Protests

Not surprising.

On a similar note, as I've been reading the forums on sites like CNN and RT, and watching the videos from Ukraine by Vice News, it has really amazed me how anti-Semitic many on the pro-Russian side are, interesting since they're the ones constantly criticizing everyone else in the world who doesn't see things their way of being neo-Nazis. Even news sites like RT often have anti-Israeli articles alongside the daily anti-American one or two or three or four or more.

It's like they think everything is just one big Jew/American ploy to destroy Russia and the world. Obviously, there are plenty of racists on forums here in America, but the level of racial and national paranoia I see on some of these pro-Russian comments and boards would be comical if not potentially a harmful issue.

There was a big battle today at a Ukrainian Border Guard building in Luhansk involving 500 Russian militia. Government forces had to call in an airstrike to turn back the assault.

"The government denied carrying out an airstrike and said the blast was caused by misdirected rebel fire from a portable surface-to-air missile launcher."

Hahahaha! I love that Ukraine is "playing the game" now.

Good for them!

Who can ID this photo?

Tunnel of Love near Klevan, Ukraine. I had heard about this before.

Correct. I hadn't heard of it before. Looks like a good meeting place for me and select females. Or Donetsk People's Republic militiamen and Ukrainian soldiers.

I'm a little confused (as I often am). Maybe you fellers can help me out.

On Monday (I think it was), there was debate between the two sides as to whether or not a Ukrainian airstrike had hit the administrative building (taken over by separatists) in Luhansk, killing several civilians. RT (of course) and now even BBC are verifying that it was indeed a Ukrainian airstrike.

However, when I look at the video, I see nothing of the sort. If the explosion caught on tape is indeed the one responsible for the deaths at the administrative building, then it is clear to me at least that it is the result of an explosion from the ground. You can clearly see a missile fired on the ground in the park right of the building immediately before the explosion. Look just left of the middle section of the tall flag pole (from camera perspective). The flash of the firing goes off in the wooded area:

RT reporting it was Ukrainian was no biggie to me, but now that some Western sources are also reporting this, I just find it a bit baffling.

Any thoughts?

It doesn't look like it's a backblast from a ground weapon. You can see smoke rising in the woods immediately after the sparkles near the flagpole if you go to full screen mode. Those are explosions rather than a launch.

Almost appears to be a cluster bomb type of munition, but I'm not positive on that. There are others on here that might be able to chime in that may have done BDA before.

Fair enough. I hadn't considered something like a cluster bomb.

And you still have people here not convinced that the US had nothing to do with staging the events in Ukraine. If this isn't proof, they will never be convinced.

The Russian Ambassador to the Ukraine is returning and will be present at his inauguration, I guess Moscow is also party to this super secret conspiracy amirite?

With all the CIA ineptitude we've heard about over the last decade, if it has the power to force a pro-Russian president to tank his own country, then incite 100,000 pro-Western Ukrainians to riot against his rule in Kiev, and then have said pro-Russian prez's forces fire on said protesters, and then have this prez flee to Russia effectively vacating his post and his national obligations, and then install pro-Western interim ministers, and then have the vast majority of Ukrainians vote for a pro-Western president, then the CIA is still pretty damn effective if you ask me.

Although I will admit that the Biden kid's job score was in very bad taste. Stupid in fact. Even if nothing shady was involved, it still looks bad.

I'll wait for verification. Sounds very rumor-ish.

Yeah but there has been an increased effort to wrestle away border points from the border guards the past few days and now this pops up seems to coincidental.
