Russia has been using the Mexican approach to taking over the US: just slowly (but surely) keep sending 'em in under false pretenses and, next thing you know, the Ukraine is Russia. Meanwhile, Ukrainians are left wondering what the hell happened. They thought they were just coming for the cheap labor.

I guess according to volmav and Lindsay Graham Obama is a wuss for failing to go to war in Crimea. I doubt before this any of these far right knee-jerk Obama critics could point to Crimea on a map. I bet three quarters of them still can't.

Obama doesn't put a scare into anyone. The thing w/Obama now days is his lack of credibility around the world w/goofs like bowing to foreign leaders & saying stupid stuff like drawing a red line in the sand & if you cross it you'll be in big trouble w/USA remarks. Then at home in America, Obama continues to look straight directly into a TV camera on a daily basis & constantly lies to American citizens about their health care plans & about other promises in his agenda that will have benefits to USA citizens. He's lost almost all credibility even from his own party members that refuses to have him campaign w/them on up & coming elections.

They could throw darts at a map and have a greater chance of hitting it than Obama has at pointing to his balls.


This is all a non issue, US is a non player in international affairs. And not because that's our decided choice, but because we are irrelevant.

I don't want to drag this thread off topic, but answer me this:

Would you consider this Administration to be a failure so far in the area of foreign policy? And would you say Americans have risen or fallen in stature in the world of geopolitics since January 2009?

This is not a partisan question and you are allowed your personal opinions here.

I think that Obama bashers are equating situations in which there is no point or justification to getting involved with weakness.

I really do not understand why we would ever saber rattle over the Ukraine and Russia. So far, no one here has given a reason other than that we should do something to bring Putin down a peg, and that doesn't seem to me to be a valid reason to involve ourselves.

So I'll ask any of you, what vital US interest is served in our insinuating ourselves into this situation ?

I don't know what we should do outside of trade restrictions. I do know that we shouldn't have made empty threats with no intentions of doing anything. Obama is as weak as possible. He is no leader.

Obama is the one that told Putin there would be "consequences". We didn't. We are just bystanders

Kind of like a fight on the playground. A guy picks a fight on another guy, and from the crowd you hear a voice say " if you fight him, there's going to be consequences".

Well, he's opened his mouth now. Now is his ass big enough to cash the check his mouth wrote?

Doubtful. He's a weak blowhard and Putin knows this

But if you don't want in the fight, don't open your mouth like you are. One day, someone is going to call your bluff and smack you in the mouth

I guess Community Organizing didn't get Barry in many fist fights

If I heard him correctly, Vitali Klitschko basically told Fareed Zakaria on GPS this morning that he and other Ukrainian leaders would be asking for European and American military support. Between his thick accent and the poor audio feed (and my multitasking), it was hard to tell.

We're losing our image as THE international power broker. Other than that, that's pretty much all I can make out of the criticisms.

I've not looked at Obama's ass enough to recognize whether it is indeed big enough to cash the check. I prefer looking at female booty.
