This isn't necessarily true with Canada, but it sure looks like they are trying to blur the lines between the Mexican and United States border. Hell, at one time, there was serious talk about blurring all of the lines in North America and having something similar to an EU here (the Amero, North American Union, etc). So in your attempt at humor, you actually put your finger on something that had already been written about and conceived nearly 20 years ago.
What countries in particular are you concerned about? If you are talking the major countries in Western Europe, I don't see any need for them to be concerned, in fact, I can see them re-evaluating their alliance with the US and most of them will eventually pivot towards Russia. I don't see any conflicts in the Middle East or Far East. That only leaves the Black Sea/Caspian Sea areas with countries like Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan. Most notably, however, you have a history of American involvement in The Ukraine and Georgia (the Rose Revolution of 2003) which further complicate the issues. The Caucasuses are already a hot bed of problems for Russia even with out US intervention. And to a certain extent, the histories of Russia and Ukraine have been tense at times. But The US putting it's nose in these hundreds of years old conflicts doesn't stabilize the situation. In fact, it could put us on the brink of WWIII.
