UGA calling out our snap count..

Nobody is claiming the refs cost us the game, but I haven't know Pruitt to be a constant ref heckler. If he was over there yelling they're stimulating a count, then they were doing so. Refs are required to call that. Not only was it a bunch of penalties, now the whole O-line plays the game in doubt of what they hear. Yes, it's game changing (had a huge impact, not "we woulda won!!!11!1)

And on the grain of sucky refs, that PI call that extended a TD drive on 3rd down was straight trash. DB locked in on the ball, leaping to intercept, when a receiver not even looking buries his face into the DBs chest. It might be PI, but not on the defense. Pathetic. Again, directly impacted the score.
The PI was the right call. You cannot go thru the Wr to get the ball. Anyone who has watched football over the last several decades knows this. It’s always been this way.

But you have to call it both ways. They did the same things and it was fine.

Not trying to defend what UGA was doing if they were calling out snap counts, yes the refs should've gave them a penalty... At the sametime a football team is coached to fire off the ball when the ball is snapped... If you jump before the ball is snapped thats not being disciplined because your jumping according to what you hear, when you are coached to fire off what you see.

Our offensive checks are super simplified, especially for runs. Even numbers run right, odd left this was called out during the broadcast yesterday and it made for easy shifts for UGA. They didn't do anything wrong
Not what I was talking about. I don't think the shifts are legal either, but that's another issue.

When you are in your backswing or starting your downward swing and some one hollers, what usually happens to your effort? Same, when someone calls out a signal or something as your QB and center are trying to start a play that has big 300 pounders coiled like springs waiting for the count? Same results as your golf swing when it is interrupted.
If we change the snap count, we cold have caught them in the middle of their shift and broken some long runs. I always like to vary the snap count if the players are smart enough to remember it.

I don’t know how to get twitter posts on here but if you go to @Power_T_ Tape he shows exactly what GA was doing.. Maybe someone who knows how to go this can post in this thread..

The linebackers say something “you can see it in the head nod” the d line shifts then we jump..

Uga was calling their shift, that is allowed.

They also knew if we were running or passing based on our stance.

I'm hearing it is not allowed if it sounds similar and it also is not allowed to try and entice the offense to jump.

The main issue here is TN offensive staff had no answer for what the D-line was doing. It's not the first time GA has "shifted" the D-Line. Some film work and a plan could have negated the shift. We got out schemed and it's not the first time.

OLine has more issues than a snap count, we couldn’t block a Twinkie yesterday.
Your analysis is spot on and I promise this will get the most attention this week in practice. No way that talent on the OL should play a game like yesterday. Missed assignments over and over. I would LOVE to see how each lineman graded out today in Friend's office. I wouldn't be surprised if it graded to be the worst performance since Georgia State last year.

Refs should have caught that. Oh well, i'm sure the league office will know about it now since they play the league's golden goose this week. Watch them get a couple penalties for it at Bama if they try it.
Unfortunately they won’t try it next week, because they respect Saban and Alabama. Tennessee, not so much.
GBO!!

All this proves is our coaches suck and cannot change up anything.

Sorry but a good coach sees it and fixes it after the second time.

But not ours......

I knew something was up because after one of our false starts the camera was on Pruitt and he was telling the ref it was the 4th time. I didn’t know what it was about but makes since now.
