Yes, I am getting to the point I am not even upset about it because championships are bought. Why should the fans and boosters be held up in the scheme of things? There are better priorities in life than this. But I will keep watching and cheering for the underdogs.

At first I thought there might be something to this rumor. But after several days and he has not hit the portal I think the family may have floated this to the media to assure guarantees from Alabama for playing time and money.

I think if he were serious you would already see him in the portal.

it’s a crappier form of professional football at this point.

He's probably also trying to get a gauge of the NFL interest. Several teams may need QBs in the draft and if he's going to go higher in the first round, he should go to the draft.

That's what is crazy about the Joey vs Ty argument. Does anyone think Joey is a first round NFL pick? Doubtful. Ty likely is.

So Heupel should pick Joey over that guy? It makes no sense if he can get Ty to Knoxville to not get him to Knoxville. I don't think he can, personally, but I see why he should.

Money don’t guarantee championships. I guarantee the teams that win the next championship the next 5 years won’t always if even twice be the team that spent this most money. Games are still won on the field. How hard a team works and improves during the year wins championships. Sure teams will have to spend money but it’s still a lot more too it than that, a whole lot more too it. GBO

The right move for him, IMO. Lots of NFL teams looking for a QB this year and he'll likely land in the first round.

But the cost to UT to sign Leavitt or another portal QB goes up with Simpson not being in the portal.

The pool of high level available talent shrinks with every QB signing or draft declaration so supply drops and demand goes up -> $$$$.

Not to come to TN if he was thinking about it but sure makes me wonder why CJH was in Martin talking to '27 3*'s when he needed to be sucking up to some portal players
Hopefully Knowles will get a few PSU guys to come with him.

If he's top 10 he could probably get that and a nice signing bonus but after that it's like let's think this though.
Take the money but I'd also need some one to get one of those insurance policies that pays millions if you get a career ending injury

Maybe they're just now tossing the $6m around or he's getting a 2nd round NFL grading and dad saying might be best to go, get signed and see about signing bonuses along with maybe getting lucky and someone gets hurt and he starts
I don't think Simpsons play did him any favors if you ask me so the Browns will probably sign him lol
