Ty Simpson?

His dad is not sorry, I know him personally. Just because someone doesn’t see things the way you would like doesn’t make them a bad person. Besides, what would any kid pick if given the opportunity, Saban or Heupel?
Would he even consider Tennessee if he transferred or his is dad and Heupel still mad at each other?

I do. I live a hr away from Westview high School. His dad coaches at UT Martin. The whole family turned their back on Tennessee. I got no time for traitors!!! There you go
You’re looking at the situation emotionally as opposed to logically. Logically, it makes perfect sense and our program gets better if he comes here.

Are these rumors real? That he might transfer here if he does not go first round? Or is this like the Jon Gruden grumors?
He doesn't seem like the brightest. After every Bama win, he would interrupt the interviewer to thank his lord Jesus Christ savior for helping him win the game. I'm sure God is overly concerned with Alabama winning a football game. So irritating.

Does it make you feel better to belittle someone's religion?

While God doesn't care about a football game, I can promise you Ty glorifying God will please the Lord much more than any win or touchdown.

And that triggers you? If he thanked his parents or a coach you’d say nothing but because it’s his faith you’re triggered. Wow

Nothing wrong with showing gratitude. I don't see how that irritates you.

Ty Simpson is a talented SEC quarterback, but if he enters the portal seeking first-round validation and top-of-market NIL, Tennessee would be paying a premium for a player who may not be an ideal schematic or value fit. Fit, cost, and timeline all matter — not just name recognition.

I'd prefer we go in another direction than Simpson. He is unpredictable game to game as the way he plays.
For me, it comes down to money. If we have no budget and can fill all the other needs we have to address and still meet Simpsons asking price, I say go for it.

If we are dealing with firm lines on the budget, I'd rather address the rest of the roster and bring in an affordable option like some of these lower level and that won't break the bank and let him compete with GMac and Brandon next season.

With that schedule, we ain't sniffin' the playoffs. We'll be lucky to get 6 wins. Rebuild the smart way. Don't overspend on any position and that includes qb.

Saban & Dabo got together & told the Simpson family they were both moving on during Summer of ‘21 if Ty didn’t commit. They didn’t want him to see Heupel’s offense. The Simpsons caved to the pressure & who could blame them. Both coaches had multiple rings on their finger.
Let them go to Clemson then.
