NOBODY I HAVE SEEN has shared a fact set to support the correct timing for an official release without exposure for UT.

Can you imagine the rush to give him his release crowd if we still be had to pay him while attending OSU. They would flip on Coach in a nanosecond. They are flexible negas.

DW & CJH got this…. We need that money to go shopping in the portal. Regular and coaching change type. Sit back and watch.

I do get that our coaches are pissed that OSU illegally contacted Legend right after he signed. So I’m sure that’s why we haven’t cut bait.

Actually not a bad idea. All this drama is due to the kid and his family. There's a signed letter or contract of some kind. That being the case, let the kid and his family deal with how it plays out. No sense in UT making the road smooth for them. They're responsible for this not our staff. Let them deal with how to handle things and do the leg work. We don't owe the kid a thing.

I say let 'em swing in the wind for now, but if money has already been paid....and I hope we're not that stupid...no way we let him walk until the funds are returned.

Heupel and crew will sit on the loi and see if the kid comes around and if he ultimately doesn’t they’ll cut him loose when it’s too late for osu to get their moneys worth in year one. Kid wants to play stupid games, win stupid prizes. It’s just business. Welcome to the real world. Good luck at osu when you realize they’re not any different, in fact they’re likely worse.

He’ll do whatever he wants. And yall are wasting energy bitching at each other over a 17 year olds actions and clothing choices. Get over it.

He probably wouldn’t play for us in year 1 anyways, now likely won’t at OSU either. This thread is at this point a nothing burger.

He keeps this crap up, not only would I not release him, I'd make him a special teams gunner next year and burn a year of eligibility before he transfers. But I'm petty like that.

Your point was not clear at all. You brought up a HS recruit which seemed like you were supporting Bey. Then you said Heupel should sit on his LoI.

I dont think he will play here and I really dont care because I want players who want to play here. Im not upset about it. The majority seems like they want to move on.

I think one thing people are missing is he's still 17. If this is really the mom's fault she probably won't request the release. Both parties need to agree to a release. He can't until dec 24

Can’t hit the portal until classes start. Classes don’t start here until after the portal closes. So technically he could get stuck here for a year. I doubt that happens, our staff will let him go
