I say let 'em swing in the wind for now, but if money has already been paid....and I hope we're not that stupid...no way we let him walk until the funds are returned.
Don’t have a clue but can’t envision them signing the LOI and accepting a trust me on the NIL deal. I am sure it can be mitigated if he does not show up, but not granting a release till that is insured may be the delay driver. Probably have some i’s to dot and T’s to cross and an all clear by our legal department.

I’ve been ok with it one way or the other. However, now i would let him practice, get beat half to death and then call OSU and let them pick up the trash.

That's a little too much, imo. He's signed, give him a shot to play and shine, if he can. But, I doubt he ever touches the practice field. But, I agree, don't release him or at least, talk to CJH like a man, instead of this bull💩, passive aggressive, drama-filled craziness.

Can’t hit the portal until classes start. Classes don’t start here until after the portal closes. So technically he could get stuck here for a year. I doubt that happens, our staff will let him go
Our staff might do that. OTH, college football is big business, and OSU is the enemy. We negotiated with a recruit in good faith, and now it appears the signee is trading with the enemy. Why should we do the enemy or that signee any favors? If they are messing with us, shouldn't mess with them back? Locker room chemistry is the only concern I see.

I don't think anything good can come from this especially since OSUs media has controlled the narrative from day one.

Who cares if their media has “controlled the narrative”? Do what’s best for the Tennessee football program whether that’s letting him go or not.

My thoughts are just let him go, but if he is poking the bear. Don't release him and send an example of what needs NCAA emphasis and the value of commitment when a player signs an LOI. If he wants to go, then, he can hit the portal. Don't pay him a dime.

Until all the truth comes out, hold him to his word. The silence tells a different story and the truth of the matter hides it.

More than likely, Tennessee has already released him (assumption) he thinks he is in control, but this is a blemish.

We didn't expect him to sign with us to begin with us anyway. There is his side, OSU side, and the Tennessee version. The the truth lies somewhere in the middle of all this BS. In essence, this is Jr High Drama. (misdirection, tampering, fandom) and social media BS.
